I've pre-ordered the black edition but I might go with standard just because I don't want to make anything easier.

So you're not going to use the DLC then? I'm quite sure I'm gonna go down that route too.

It's also worth noting that all the DLC weapons/shields can actually be found in the world too, they aren't special items for Black Armour people only. So we would end up finding them anyway.

My normal boggo version of the game just turned up also. So I now have the Collectors edition and the normal version in my house

Got the normal for a good price, so gonna ebay that for a small profit.

On another note, who here will be using their Black Armour Edition DLC? I'm debating it, cos I don't want to start out with stronger weapons/shields. Part of the charm is starting with naff weapons, and looting for better weapons.

I'm sure the Black Armour weapons aren't great, but they will still be an advantage surely?

The will probably feel like a crutch like the drake sword, is it a dlc code? May give mine away or just not use it

I think so, it seems silly getting something early that's in the game anyway and makes it a bit easier as a result. But then, if I'm constantly getting my ass handed to me then I may break Obviously getting the standard version removes that temptation.

I didn't even know the Black Armour edition came with bonus DLC! I obviously had no plans to use it, and I'll stick to that. If I'm good at the game, I want it to be because I rock, not because I'm using OP weaponry I shouldn't really have too early in the game.

Yeah I'm gonna ignore the DLC for now then, I really think it will ruin the early experience of the game tbh.

Went with the Collectors edition from Amazon, hasn't even been dispatched yet so I may have to pick up a copy from Game tomorrow as I plan to play this all weekend.

I didn't know you got DLC weapons either in the Black Edition so yeah guess I won't bother with them.

The temptation may be there to equip it just to farm some items or souls but I tend not to do any farming on my first playthrough so that's unlikely.

So maybe I'll just pass the code on. My mate is going to loan my game for the 1st week while I'm away and he isn't very experienced with them so maybe I'll tell him to redeem it to make it at bit easier to progress quickly while he has it - although he said he'll buy it anyway if he liked it so suppsoe it won't matter

My standard copy from amazon is still on pre ordered(ordered back in Feb). They normally are quite good, but it looks like it won't arrive tomorrow. Disappointing.

Strangely, I have had the opposite, and have always had things delivered on time/ready for release....until I joined Amazon Prime!


Anyone else feel that you can only play this game in the dark?...don't think I will start it until tomorrow evening even if it arrives in the morning. I only really play in the evenings anyway, but with this I can't imagine playing it during the day.
