In the future, all worlds will be cuboid. At least, that seems to be the way things are going. After the enormous success of Minecraft, everyone wants a slice of that chunky, malleable environmental pie. First seen back in March, Planet Explorers caught our eye – similar in style to the upcoming Starforge, although with less of a focus on physics, and more on large-scale construction and defensive elements. The first playable alpha build has now been released via IndieDB, and is free for all to download. Here’s the V0.1 trailer to give you an idea of what to expect:

You took on the challenge of keeping track and keeping OcUK updated with every indie title, lesser men would have turned to ash at the thought. :D

Had a little go but the controls and bugs make it kind of unplayable at the moment. Really like the concept though, kind of a smooth 3d version of minecraft with xyson style digging/building up ground levels. Definitely one to watch when it's smoothed out.

Also saw this today and thought it looked good. Is it an MMO though? Or does it have single player? I thought I read it was Single player with Multiplayer but it looks quite MMO so I wasnt sure.

Anyone here get a email today with the key and code for the new build? Im going to install mine tonight and hopefully get around to playing it soon.
