****The Nintendo 3DS Thread****

My GF just bought a 3DS, are there any must have games?

I already convinced her to get a link between worlds, because she will like it *Cough*.

Any others to suggest? I've read about Animal Crossing, Super Mario 3D Land, Pokemon X/Y and Monster Hunter being good.

go for Mario land great game

Cheers guys, also that list is helpful, will have a read of reviews and see what will be best for her to pick up.

Got myself Bravely Default. Enjoying it so far, but will probably sell it after finishing it and buy Luigi's Mansion for a change of pace, then FE. Only really have time for one game at a time.

I'm looking at buying a 3DS XL for Pokemon, Bravely Default, Zelda etc etc.

My only trouble is when to buy? I've missed out on the free Mario Land promotion, and now the US has got their free Pokemon X/Y promotion.

I'm eying up the Zelda XL pack for £200, but don't want to get that and Pokemon and miss out on any deals that might appear soon after, I know it's unpredictable, but I'm not too clued up on how likely there is to be a deal appearing soon that I end up kicking myself for.

Buy one now as the next set of deals won't be till Christmas unless you want to wait till then.

There's deals through the year.

As far as the free games promotion, just buy your game/s and console and keep the registration cards handy. When the promo comes active register your goods and you get free games :)

Cheers, think I'll get the XL, Pokemon and charger for £180.

Although at that price the extra 20 for the Zelda edition makes sense, after I've bought Pokemon and a charger though it's £230, and I can't sell Zelda on.

Finally got to finish fire emblem - really enjoyed it, has been a good while since I played an rpg - had been playing it on hard and classic which put abit of strain on the play through but tbh overall it was a great game and I'm tempted to try a second play through - try out different combinations (of pairing people) and perhaps build types too.

Is there any particular reason why some NES VC games on 3DS are more expensive than the Wii U versions? Double Dragon for example is £4.49 on 3DS yet only £3.49 on Wii U.
