motherboard resetting

not sure if this is correct section but here goes.

everytime i reset my computer my bios settings revert to defaults regardless of how many times i save t hem and need to manually put in my oc everytime.

does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to what may be going wrong???
 
yeah i replaced battery 1st and the date time etc are all correct and dont need changing its just my actual settings luckily its just a case of load them from the saved profiles but still annoying nontheless

its a GB z87x-oc board

Is the system clock keeping the right time - as it may be the battery is dieing or dead. Check the bios battery first - if not maybe the bios is corrupt, in which case you could try updating the bios. What are your specs, and what is the board? It may help us to diagnose your problem.

How long has this been happening?

Have you tried re loading your bios, or try the second bios chip - I know you would have to re load your settings for your overclock etc in the second bios, but it would be nice to see if that holds your settings between boots.

Which bios are you using as I know one of the latest - not sure if 7a or 7b was fubar and was pulled because of problems.

Just remembered - are you pressing enter after putting the settings in each field you want to change in the bios? As it will not apply them unless you press enter and then save and exit after all changes are made?
