The Budget 2014 - 12:30

Yay for paying tax for people to have sprogs and then dump them in childcare.

I jest, partially, something needs to be done about childcare but this stinks of a vote winning sticking plaster. I'd expect the budget to have a focus on winning votes. Goddess knows the Tories need all the help gaining votes for nest year.

The country needs people to have children. A working parent is better for the treasury in the short and long term than one that quits work to raise children.

The real problem is this could just lead to higher child care costs.

Not budget related but: my god, anyone else sick of PMQ's?
So much political point scoring on all sides, all the people in these MP's constituencies and your telling me the best effort they can make with their -one- question is to poke fun at the other side?
#Sigh

  • 100% increase in State Benefits
  • Abolition of duty on cider and cigarettes
  • Subsidised Sky TV for all JSA claimants
  • Free PS4 for all benefit claimants
  • Abolition of the actively seeking work requirement to be entitled to JSA
  • Lower State Pension age to 50

That's what got the Greeks in trouble.

This is the political manouvering I most detests and see far too often. I imagine if I were ever at a recording of question time, and got the mic, I would call what ever sleazy politician does it out on it.

Douche 1: Things under this government are AWFUL. Their policies are absurd and our penis is AT LEAST an inch longer than this shrivelled walnuts'. *gafaw, gafaw*
Douche 2: If you remember it was your government that instigated this policy *smarm smarm smarm* Our penis is a grower, not a shower, and yours hasn't seen any actions in years anyway.

Rinse cycle repeat.

Shut the **** up you slimy, sleazy, eton toff crem bags. Deal with the issues, move on, and stop political point scoring. Its boring and you look like ****s.

Why do the other MPs always jeer and make noise? It makes listening to the speech very tiresome. There should be a rule that everyone needs to keep their mouth shut unless the Speaker of the House lets them talk. :p

The House of Commons should copy the silence in the House of Lords. They're all pretty chilled out there. :p

*in a deep voice* Yeahhhhhhhhhhh

I don't live in the UK so it doesn't concern me however just wanted to say that people are now flying to dublin to fly back to manchester to take a flight to orlando because it's "cheaper" to do that as you don't have to pay the high passenger fee for connecting flights.

This is a crazy tax that should be wiped out, or at least reduced. As at the moment it's making people fly longer than they would normally so is having a reverse effect on CO² emissions and the government aren't collecting any more cash.

Oh and come live in Sunny Belgium where stamp duty is 10% and lawyers fees are 7%-9% of house value.

You guys have got it good ;-) (course the houses are cheaper lol)

I don't know anything about that, but if it is how you say, then it needs to be sorted

Bingo.

WTF.

Now we're going to have even more annoying adverts with that giggly little bowling ball-esque ghoul Barbara Windsor. Brilliant.
