Don't spam the tackle button, it will slow your defenders down when you're chasing them. It's best to use the tackle button once your face to face with the defender.
Jockey the attacker with L2, close the gap to the goal and whilst you are jockeying you can also be closing the attacker down with team mate contain (R1 button).
The good thing about jockey is that it will automatically tackle for you once the defender comes close enough.

If you want a bit of dirty play, if you are chasing the attacker down the wing and you're really close to him, you can spam the tackle button which will pull his shirt and barage him off the ball.... The ref doesn't often blow the whistle for it lol.
Got some coins off a mate who is fed up with FUT. He had 500k and couldn't be bothered to sell them up to a coin site so gave them to me!
I invested in SIF Benatia, SIF Tevez and SIF Griezman (for a diff squad). SIF Benatia and Chiellini with De Rossi, Vidal and Hernanes in midfield is a really solid combination defensively with plenty going forward as well. But the star of the show has been Candreva
. 11 games and 10 goals so far. Tevez has been an assist machine but not sure I'm overly impressed with him. Think he needs to be behind a striker or along side another striker. Not sure that 433 suits his work rates. They haven't been a massive problem but he isn't in shooting positions as much as I would like and these are the stats I want to use with him. One to ponder.

The last part is exactly how I feel about Ibra.
I am scoring goals with him, generally a goal a game, really considering trying him next to another striker though.
Going to throw him in this cheap 41212 just to see what happens.

. I knew this when buying him and what I'm seeing with Tevez is what I expected but it doesn't feel quite right. The midfield feels nice though. Amazingly balanced.
Tom - Ibra is made for 1 ST formations. It's you not him.

Benatia and Chiellini are a very strong cb pairing, only thing they lack is pace against the sweaty strikers but they win most headers from spam crosses.

Tom how much have you spent on this game? I recall reading that you have only been playing this game for 1 month but the amount of coins you have is unreal.

I'm still convinced he needs a CAM feeding him to be honest. 433-4 he played really well and got on goals all the time thanks to the CAM pushing him up but I was just so wide open on the counter attack.
I haven't spent that much to be honest, about £50-£60. One of my mates gave me a load of coins when I first started. I don't really mind though, as it's stopped me from buying other games I wouldn't play.
SIF Benatia is swift . Having used TOTY Ramos for about 200 games, every defender feels a bit slow in comparison. He was hilariously fast.
4* El Sha feels good - his work rates are less of a problem at LW than Tevez' are at ST. Going to persevere with it for now then try Tevez after manually changing his work rates. He's just under a goal a game but has an assist a game too. I don't generally win big with this team but I am unbeaten in 11 games with it.
I like how solid it feels. My 4231 Serie A team last year still felt better overall but this is close.
He doesn't need a CAM he needs you to play to his strengths just like any player really. My Ibra had well over 300 games and I never once was frustrated with his positioning. But just do whatever works for you personally. That's how FUT goes.

Agree with you there bought up benatia a few weeks back and he is solid. El Shaawary absolutely destroyed ak22 last night. Only found out about his upgraded 4 star skill after you mentioned it. Despite his h/h work rate I don't really feel it playing him LM.
