Rooney misses out again..

Thats a massive shame

Agree with Eriksen, Yaya, Suarez and Oscar though, were all stuning over the weekend

Rooney has to be the most overrated player to ever play for united/england. He scored a pretty good goal but apart from that what has he done for the past season? He averages less than 20 goals per season. In 12 years he's only scored more than 20 goals 3 times.

If anything he deserves a downgrade 87 is ludicrous, he's an 85 at best but 84 would be a fair rating for him?

15 goals in 35 games bare in mind the wages he is commanding, the fact he is playing for a top 4 team (well they used to be) and the league champions.

How well as he fared playing in Europe or for England?

TOTW is for players who are IN FORM, Rooney turning up in a match against West Ham is not a player who is IN FORM, look what happened to him against City.

It's bad days when a holding midfielder for Man City is scoring more goals than a striker at United. Yaya is a BOSS though.

I could face these 4-3-3 Bayern sides all day, they all seem to be terrible players :D. It could be the same guy though as it was exactly the same team I faced before but with Gundogan instead of Draxler.

Rooney is def past his goal scoring prime but you can't deny the amount of effort he puts into every single game. He makes UTD tick and would fit into any team in the world a part from Barca. He would be pretty amazing playing just behind Benzema for Real.

Im no united fan (never have been, never will be) but Rooney has been massively instrumental in the team all season long.

Goals are not his be all and end all anymore, he's a box to box striker. He can probably attribute himself to 75% of man u's goals this season.

Just because his goal stats are low and his team are doing badly, doesn't mean he's not pitting in a world class performance week in week out. If he was surrounded with 2 or 3 more compitant players his goal and assists tallies may nearly be double.

I think he's having a great season playing with inspiration and desire. If he wasn't in form would he even of attempted that shot? The only other player I could see doing that is Suarez.

You're right there are many better players overall but considering the performances he has put in when his team have been struggling, he certainly deserves an inform..

That being said Yaya should have had 3 IF's by now. :)
