People with lag problems tried changing their MTU to avoid fragmentation? Windows 7 default is 1500, which will fragment over the BT network. I've changed mine to 1492 which doesn't seem to fragment. Don't think I have seen the packet loss icon as much since then, though I rarely have bad lag in game.

Well yes they should be at 1492 or less BUT MTU does nothing for hit reg / in game lag etc. All that changes for BF3 / BF4 is how quickly the game updates the killfeed.
 
Removed my ocuk tags and honestly I think a few others (about another 3-4) should do the same, too many ocuk are joining the same server now and we just end up killing the server because people see like 9+ ocuk guys on the same team and rage quit lol, plus be nice to not have the abuse in chat all the time, rather play the game than read/post in chatbox all the time :p

From what played last night the rage was unreal. Constant whining about how people like us were ruining the game (clearly because playing together with friends and PTFO'n isn't what you should do in a team based game... Right?)

After much whine blacklines stepped up to help out the enemy/whining team... And would type into chat where their AA was etc. Lol I think your spycraft might need some more subtlety. Lol

I'm surprised no one uses spectator mode and teamspeak to give away enemy positions.

*edit* felt fine until 16:00 then upchucked again. At least the wife bought thr breakfast. Shame omly happens once in a blue moon.
 
Just jumped onto a 64 player match on ZVOD and damm the hit reg was sooooo bad. I'm mostly ok with 32/48 servers so wanted to understand if anyone else see the reg fall of a cliff when they go over 50 on a server?

In fairness if I'm up against 10 people from a clan then I'll leave, its like Chelsea vs Aldershot, ie it's only going to go one way. Surely if you're playing in a large clan you want to play other clans, not against people that aren't all together on teamspeak?
 
I'd be surprised if the game data packets were that large that they fragmented.

IIRC from what someone was saying the game typically sends between 76 and 300 byte packets though I'd have to double check.

Might have to check MTU though in the past (long long ago) on BT it could make quite a difference to gaming in stuff like Q3 putting the max packet size to 14xx.

EDIT: My router defaults to 1492 anyhow so won't be why I'm seeing the "packetloss" icon so much of the time.
 
The thing is, chances are, the majority of other players are also playing with a few friends on teamspeak/mumble etc. as well, only takes 3-4 good players to turn a match around.

You only need a couple of other people half switched on in squad really :( sadly way too many people totally ignore anyone trying to get a half reasonable response going and would rather just moan.

Unfortunatly most (EDIT: All) of the people I play FPS games with regularly have stopped playing BF4 due to all the issues with it. Dice/EA have really screwed up here if they'd played their cards right they could have got a load of people who were previously COD players but didn't like ghosts much but have mostly gone on to CSGO now instead.
 
Yup exactly, instead of actually doing something against the jet, aa, tank etc. or whatever, they just whine about it in chat rather than doing anything to try and help the team win.

Generally when we win by a landslide, it isn't because we completely destroyed the enemy team and stopped them capping flags etc., it is because they are;

- camping with their sniper rifle at the edge of the map
- being jav/mbt law warriors camping the roofs
- sitting at one point the entire match (i.e. usually B and A flag on paracel, c flag/tower on siege)

Just sat down after a hectic few hours moving and delivering sofas to some people and us, we now have a leather corner sofa at last, yeah!
 
Anyone else running mantle and Eyefinity run into a lot of hitching issues? I can be running along at 90fps, cue a large explosion or an in close fire fight and the game literally freezes up for a few seconds. Got me killed countless times =/
 
I don't get any hitches on mantle, just the odd white or red screen for no reason out of the blue. Also keep running out of ram for some reason...

I've noticed the odd occasionally flickering green patch on some terrain now and again myself.
