Titanfall (Respawn Entertainment's new IP)

I've played a lot more the past two days, I'm enjoying it even more but it can be a bit random. I really wasn't doing well when in the titan until I unlocked and started using the strider with the 40mm cannon.

Can just plug away at people and keep distance and dash core can have me over the other side of the map in seconds.
 
I plan on doing a re-install of windows 8 tomorrow, dont fancy downloading titanfalls 50gb again so is there a way i can backup my install files?
 
Getting teams mad for clutching 5v1's in B on Angel city, getting over 3500 assault points while having a terrible team and nearly beating there team single handed. Safe to say they were mad :3

But again playing by myself is so frustrating when i'm playing so good only to look at my team and see them not even above 200 assault/defense points...
 
can be mad when you have a bad team look and your bottom players dont even have a bot kill :confused: how can you not even kill one bot ! :p

If you had hard drive partitioned (with game on 2nd partition before hand) there would have been no need to....worth doing this time...or have 2nd drive for games :)

Not sure if you can copy game folder to external and then put back...could with black ops2 but doesnt work with Ghosts for some reason.
 
Enjoy using the triple threat with atlas at the moment + extended mag. Full clip of that gets pumped out in about 2 seconds tops and I can also fire my cluster missile at the same time, meaning truly massive damage if anyone is daft enough to get that close. The only flaw is you have no ranged combat capability, but saying that, I just hide behind buildings and lure other titans and pilots in for the kill.

Barely see anyone else using the triple threat as well, which surprises me!

Triple Threat is deadly in the right hands, not really used it much but have been on the receiving end. Definitely a spam weapon for clearing our rooms.
 
by far, the most annoying aspect of this game is the matchmaking. I absolutely cannot stand being dumped into a game thats in progress, only to find out my team are losing something like 150/280. I usually just back out instantly and try again. Can sometimes take up to 10 mins to find a decent game.
 
That has happened in every matchmaking system I have used... Just get on with it. Win or lose just try to get some score in.

I was bothered about the matchmaking system at the start as I was level 1 playing level 50s and people who had reset but now it bothers me not what level they are quite often I've been the lowest level and done the best.

I played a lot of capture the flag today as I was playing against the OcUK twitch streamers. It's definitely the mode I would pick to play as a team and farm some xp. What we should really do is get together a group of people on vent or TS to play some coordinated games.

Still sticking with the strider and the 40mm cannon, unlocked burst fire pretty quickly and its working out well. Prior to using this combo I really was not getting kills with the titan but now I'm raking them in.

One of my favourite things to do is calling in a titan on top of an enemy titan... Kablammo!

Hmmm... surprised this thread is on second page. Doesn't seem like TF has caught on to nearly the same extent as BF3/4, etc.

Anyway, I'm really liking it. Currently running with cloak/powercell/shotty. Very effective combination. Got a 15 kill streak with it yesterday.
 
Cloak with Hemlock assault rifle / acog / extended mag. Nice gun. I tend to stick to the 40mm on the Titan with vortex shield. Hard to justify another perk when you can literally throw your opponents projectiles back at them :D.
 
Graphics are not that itensive, its more CPU limited.

I currently prefer the particle wall, better with the strider because you can still dash about behind it.

I really do enjoy this game a lot, I just kinda wish there was more to it. More to actually strive for, more class depth, bigger engagements with less bots or something.

haha monstered many stryders tonight :D

played with few on ts forced the other team back they particle wall one of your team others side swipe in destroy.


starting to like pilot hunting mode a lot now. really rages you if you have bad team though.
 
Finished all my Gen3 challenges last night (those blooming Plasma Railgun titan kills were a nightmare I never wish to repeat!), currently sat at lv42, so not long 'til Gen4 :D
