That's how it always starts next thing you know your son has a beard and you're getting a divorce from the cleaner/woman that brings you stuff and moans over the sound of your headset.
Depends how much time you want to put into it.
You can get away with a few minutes a day tbh.
Get involved in running an alliance and it can become a major time sink.
Tbh I prefer the Tournament edition now, which is a 3 month game that is reset at the end of the round.

Right just a heads up to all that join. We will try our best to give you aid to kick start your nation. In the first instance this will be $6000000. What you all need to understand is that the game limits the amount of aid that can be sent out.
The maximum cash aid for a single transaction is $6000000 and a single nation can send out 6 aid packages using its 6 aid slots, these have a 10 day cycle and further aid can only be sent via an aid slot once the 10 day cycle has expired.
At the moment we have 3 nations that are capable of sending out aid in this quantity, so for now aid will be on a first come first served basis. If you miss out first time round due to over demand then you will be prioritised to get aid on the following round.

You need to get some trades, that will help.
If all the new guys go on blue team and offer trades to each other that will help.
Trade resources can be changed in game now every 30 days so a thread on the alliance forums to organise a decent trade set between you would be the way forward. J Edgar will join in for a trade circle.
