Hi Guys,
I know a few peps here have been to Disney so looking for some advice if anyone has travelled with young kids.

My boy is 2.5 and love all things Disney, he was in Dubai a year ago and the heat was not much of an issue for him, so im convinced he will love it. His new sister hower will be 4 months at the time of travel in June and will prob get very little from the experience and will probably have issues with the heat. Mum feed the wee one herself which adds another slant.

SO has anyone done this with such young kids? Recommend or no way?

I am thinking of getting areally decwnt hotel so we can chill there if it all gets too much, so accommodation recommendations welcome.

Cheers for the help!

Can't comment about kids that age but boy I had fun when I was a child. Can't wait to go as a parent :p.

Too young IMO. They won't be able to appreciate everything that Disney has to offer.
I'd wait til about 4-5 years old.

He won't be able to go on hardly any of the rides for instance.

Apart from everyone on the playing wanting to murder you there and then for bringing very young children on, far too young to get any real enjoyment out of Disneyland.

Too young IMO. It would be wasted on them. Best age would probably be around 10. I first went when I was 16 and LOVED it.

Does seem a bit pointless. Our boy (now 4) loved things like Thomas Land at that age, but Disney is just a bit too big. Even Legoland was a bit much at that age. And he'd have been knackered after one day.

I'd wait until the youngest is 3 or 4, if it were me, and concentrate on shorter bursts of fun until they're a bit older.

Too far, maybe plausible with a 2.5yr old but definitely not a 4-month old. The young'un will need lots of sleep, it'll be too hot to do that outdoors for her.

if you wait a year or two I'm sure your boy would prefer Islands of adventure(universal) more Jurassic Park and Marvel was fantastic with a 4.5 year old

I think taking a baby would absolutely tire you out, there's a lot of walking involved. also stay away from there when america has school holidays, we went on christmas day it was 1 in 1 out the most stressful day of my life

I took mine at 4 and 2 but I need to be in Orlando every year at least once so wasn't really a big decision as they will have other opportunities. I think they really start to get the greatest benefit from about 5, if you will take them again and you want to go for you, then why not but don't set your expectations too high regarding what they will take in.

If you can you want to go April/May time, just the start of the season so its relatively quiet, normally wall to wall sunshine, but crucially its not muggy, as Florida can get very humid in the summer, I would imagine Dubai is a dry heat, so can be handled differently

My daughter is 3.5 and I wouldn't take her there just yet, she wouldn't get to enjoy much of it. Imagine explaining to her at 7 that she has been to Disney Land. She'd go mad!

Also imagine the rage of buying your son a $19 Mickey Mouse ice cream, then for him to drop it and ask for another one...... :D

Having been twice with my niece, 1.5 and 3.5 , she didn't appreciate and can't remember the experience. We are waiting until our son is at least 5 before we take him.

4 months is too young IMO. We took our daughter when she was 9 months (booked before she was conceived!) and she was only just old enough to really take the sights in.

Too young. My cousin was 5 and she was crying all the time at the people dressed up. Plus we waited one hour for a photo with mickey mouse only for her to start crying again as she was scared of him!

Thanks for the thoughts guys.
Although not overly concerned if the do not remember the experience as it's the experience itself on the day my boy would love, from a logistical point of view it may be too much with the heat and crowds. So yeah I will prob leave it and head to Spain for a week in May.

I have two kids under 2 and the missus is bugging me to go on holiday somewhere but I honestly don't see the point at their ages, we'll still be spending all our time looking after them but in a different place.
