Find me a free online site that will stream me 1080p all the time and I will switch!

9pm onwards is BF4. Was rubberbanding - no packet loss.

Are you saying that the download rate for a client decreases as the server fulls up or do you think the lag is due to the increased chance of a high ping player?

Nah I'm saying they try to keep the download rate constant despite the player load to the point its having a detrimental impact with higher player loads. I think also that due to the way the game seems to work in regard to syncing clients that one client can have far to big an impact if they are suffering latency issues of one kind or another whether graphics lag, packet loss or just high connection latency and that in bigger game loads with a higher chance of having more problem players at any one time it makes the effect of that more obvious.

On the game forums someone was comparing data traffic between BF3 and 4 during different load conditions and in BF3 seeing a variance in the packet sizes but on BF4 it was always the same size packet even when more was going on. (Somewhat but not entirely due to the dynamic update rate on BF3 IIRC).

Dunno if it happened in BF3 as aside from some short periods playing on other people's systems I've never really played it but in BF4 its quite noticeable the extent to which chat gets delayed due to the reliable channel being saturated when stuff gets busy.

Ok thanks. Chat certainly for delayed in BF3 however in BF4 there is definitely more lag.

I love the gun play / movement in BF4 but the reg is so much worse than BF3.

There is some packet loss there but what concerns me is the jitter. Your ping is all over the place mate.

Time to switch to FTTC.

Ive been playing BF4 since 7.30:

LOL, the new theory on who I am is that I am either Joe's son or brother :D

Fun games tonight, stealth for life! So good being able to deal with other stealth jet pilots and attack pilots at the same time and swooping in every now and then to steal the tank/boat kills :p edit: bloody annoying when against a stealth who can turn just as well though, spent 5-10 minutes doing loops with enemy stealth and I eventually get a chance to take him down and he bails just at the last second :( Missed out on many gunships during that time and for nothing!!!! edit: and of course the good old invincible/regless aircraft once they hit a certain height is still in the game/most maps as well  can't believe DICE haven't fixed that yet.........

My line quality:

Internet cut of earlier so had to contact virgin and apparently fault in the area too so engi. being sent out in the next few days........

Anyway, will still be on for some games over the next few weeks just not as often and not be able to play for as long when I do get on.

Do not torrent bud. Let me know if you want to discuss a more secure method.

If you mean Newsgroups with SSL encryption I am aware of that too, but that costs money and I find is not as easy to use as Torrents are.

I am on Zen Fibre Pro Unlimited. Probably worth mentioning that torrent was running whilst I was playing (it seems if I download something whilst I play BF4 I get less rubberbanding and much better hitreg than without).

Granted the FTTC cabinet is a fair few hundred meters away (which is why I am on 50mbit and not 80mbit but still...

So Teamspeak are not playing ball. I submitted for a NFP license and they came back with this:

I did everything they asked for properly, created an admin@domain email address etc.

I just think they can't be bothered because they are snowed under with requests.

Brilliant!!!!

I had fun and games trying to get a NFP license with them due to a commercial site being hosted on the same server (different domain) I don't think they really have any interest in making the process efficent or flexible.

Jesus I should not be allowed to use my bank card early in the mornings.

Just bought a new 750W EVGA PSU, a Logitech G27 & a Corsair K90.

Now just need to figure out how to hide it from the wife.

Popped in for a quickie with the OcUK crowd last night. Seemed Tony was around every corner fml :(

M2 SLAMs seem to work well where a path crosses between islands (You can get either boats or land vehicles)

Managed to get some poor guys tags (Don't think he's OcUK though).

Hax team lost :p

Also noticed a lot more AK5C deaths, has it been buffed? Maybe it's just better than the ACE52 in more open environments.

Think we got each other a few times bud! Yeah the AK5C is a beastly weapon, the recoil is very low. It's my goto weapon when my aim sucks.

Just submit another one. They did this to me last week and closed applications at the same time. The following day they opened applications again, so i submitted another one and received a license fairly quickly.
