Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster

So I've had the game since launch, on and off, and only just beat

Yuna's Side of the Via Purifico

Reason being, Everytime I go on the game, I spent the majority of my time grinding, so everything I touch gets overkilled, same with bosses, three turns then overkill.

Anyone else do this? I've played the game sooo many times back in the PS2 days.
 
I used to play like that back in the day but I didn't grind at all when playing through the story this time. I did switch out characters to ensure everybody was levelled evenly on fights that granted more AP.
 
I thought they were going to re-do the voice acting. They didn't, therefore i'm out.

I did FFX apart from the voice acting, it was atrocious. The celestial weapons were ridiculously powerful, and the ending was terrible. Apart from that, it was fun to play and i loved the sphere grid!
 
Now i'm just about fight,

Luckily you get a nice spot of grinding here, most of the time you get triple robots for 8k+ overkill AP, Yuna literally levels after each fight, which is great since at this point everyone is way way way! over leveled than her.
 
Why do I not remember any of this.

I must be about 1% of the way through and I am bored out my wit. Not being able to skip the story sections and stuff just feels like a burden.

I think I just don't like games any more haha

edit: or what I mean is I don't have 10 hours a day to play like I used to

If you don't remember any of it why are you trying to skip the story sections?
 
No I remember the story, I mean all the grinding points and how far people are already.

I either totally forgot about the game or I never played it the first time and got mega powerful etc
 
I just had my first crash which was during a blitzball game. Fortunately I only lost 20 minutes progress. I guess it shows frequent saving is never a bad idea.
 
Some plant bossed out on me this morning, took out all of my guys. The ******* thing went to sleep and recovered it's hp. Man I suck at turn based RPGs.

Any tips?
 
Loving Blitzball all over again, but finding it incredibly easy. Pretty much every game is either 6-1 or 5-1, except against the Al-Bhed Psyches who beat me as their stats are mad!

IT helps that I hired the first guy I came across(Ropp), who is also well OP in terms of tackling and passing

I had to think who you meant. I assume its Lord Ochu, you can use silence attack with Wakka to stop it casting spells. When it does fall asleep, use Yuna to summon Valefor and use sonic wings and its overdrive attack to keep piling on the damage. It can't be hit by earthquake and can't be poisoned so that makes it quite durable, sonic wings will also keep delaying the ochus attacks.

I'm not having problems with any of the teams, it's harder to score against the Al Bhed due to them having Nimrook but my defenders are so strong that it really doesn't matter. I also have Ropp in defense as well as Wedge, who starts off a ridiculously good forward, who then turns into a defender, then finally a goal keeper(but i'm not at that point yet). I've decided to make my team out of players who start out unsigned as I don't want to deprive other teams of all of the best players. The lack of difficulty might have something to do with me 'grinding' every game with passes between my own team, my defenders and Tidus seem to be 8 or so levels above everybody else. I've got a few lower levelled players im working on now such as Vilucha who I only accessed recently due to her being back in Besaid village. I've also got Kiyuri who's doing well in midfield and Mifurey who turns out good but shes so slow she just sucks at the moment....

With Blitzball, I was lucky enough to get attack reels on my first tourney, Is it much point continuing it?

I never really continued Blitz after I got that overdrive, was I missing other important items?

I believe there are 2 more sets of overdrive wheels for wakka and his upgrade item for his celestial weapon is also a blitzball prize. I've only been lucky enough to get the attack reel upgrade.
 
I'm still enjoying it, but I might have to give up... I just can't stand anymore Tidus! It takes a hell of a lot of skill to create a character as annoying as this.

I was reading an article about annoying game characters the other day, and there were 3 from X/X-2 on their list! (obviously the entire list was made up of JRPG characters)
 
I was enjoying this so much, I want to platinum the game on vita so I have been taking m time to find all the al bhed primers etc..... then I got to the thunder plains...... it wants me to dodge 200 lightning bolts in a row! are you MAD!?

has anyone managed to do this? I could do with a "no encounters" trait but I am unsure when I will get one

You'll get one later on, and quite a people have managed it. I haven't tried yet been levelling up all my characters first.
Wait till you do the chocobo race
