Bit out of date on the old video games, looks a bit like Mafia though, is it any good, worth buying or not?

The graphics actually look a bit dated, almost early 00's style.

i thought it was okay worth a play as there's not a great deal of games like it i enjoyed it not sure if everybody did had a very mafia style about it think you can pick the complete edition up for £6 possibly less.

It's... interesting. Ive not played Mafia but this ain't an open world crime game if that's what you're thinking. It's a moody, story-driven detective game, that has a lot in common with old-school point'n'click adventures. It's definately worth a shot if you fancy being a detective. Be warned though, it doesn't have anything like the freedom of choice you may think.

Repetitive after a couple hours. A bit crap really, even if you go into it with the understanding that it isn't a game.

It's just dull. Story isn't much to write home about.

Bit slow to get into but decent play.

Goes on for quite a bit though so if you can push through some of the repetitiveness it will give you plenty of gameplay time.

I think it's brilliant.

Really good narrative driven story, although I felt it peaked too early.

It was written in English. If you don't understand we need to send you back ;)

But how isn't it a game?

Like, Stanley Parable thing, Dear Esther etc. yeah if this thread was on about them I'd agree but how isn't LA Noire a game? Driving, shooting, puzzles, chases, cover mechanics, free roam, random events etc.

It's essentially 1940s GTA from the cops perspective.

I enjoyed it, i never got to finish it but that because a game had come out that i REALLY wanted lol

I found it OK - It is a "play once" game though. I played it through until the end but probably won't bother with it again.

So the consensus pretty much seems to be that it is ok.

The story is pretty awful and goes round in circles a bit, and the driving around town gets very boring when you realise there is nothing to do, but the cases themselves are quite fun to play through.
