Oblitary Minecraft recommendation. If you like exploration, building and stuff.

Kerbal Space Program, in the same vein, if you like space rockets.

Trine 1 & 2 (2D platformer).

Portal 1&2 (FPS puzzle).

Psychonauts (3rd person platformer).

Curse Of Monkey Island series (old school point & click puzzle). Sam & Max.

What does OP define as violence? Genuine question, since most games have some form of killing/destruction/violence in them. Even Minecraft!
