So I bought some protein shake powder the other day and after having a few shakes from it I noticed something blue poking through the surface of the powder in the packet. Pulled it out and to my shock it was a rubber / latex glove.

I sent a complaint email with pictures, batch number etc to the online retailer who I also think is the manufacturer and they said they would investigate. They have now come back to me and said they can confirm it looks like an "operational error" in the warehouse and that they will provide further training to staff. As a "good will gesture" they will replace the product.

I still feel pretty annoyed as I had been using this product before I noticed the glove and who knows where its been. What would you do in this instance, take it further? I'm thinking of just leaving it and never buying from them again.

take it further.

the gloves are for a reason....
the glove being in the packet after being worn by some sweaty tramp......

is not meant to be it's a pretty large **** up imo.

potentially they could get a fine by whoever regulates the industry I would imagine or at least an inspection

good will gesture? lol.... good will? WTF! they made an error it's not good will it';s doing the right god damn thing by the customer.

I'd just report them

lets face it whatever you have been drinking for the last few weeks is contaminated with sweat , dead kin cells and god knows what else, these people probably don't even wash their hands after going to the toilet

BTW NAME AND SHAME! :D or pm me what company so I don't buy at some point.

How many pots of free muscle powder would it take for you to feel normal again? This isn't 'merica. What are your losses?

Used to know a guy who worked on the production line of these shakes. He reckoned that, without fail, he would tease one out into the mixture every shift. Said he wasn't the only one too. He thought it was hilarious that there would be all these big shiney lumps of meat chugging down his seed before pulling a few reps.

He seemed pretty convincing, but I've often wondered if he was just pulling my chain

Either way he was pulling something.

Pretty sure the quality controls they have would make that very difficult. But yes, that's where the protein comes from.

Oh, and thanks for reminding me of this:

I get products from there. I'm less concerned about the glove and more concerned about some psychopath that potentially may be ejaculating into powders. That is seriously messed up but I guess the same could be happening in many food products, I just don't know what goes through the minds of some people.

If the powder is lumpy or smells like off cheese, then I'd worry about the presence of ejaculate.
