So this is a buggy half baked port that won't be supported three months after release, right? Don't condescend to us, Ubisoft...
Recommend intel CPU is a quad core.
Far Cry 3 has HBAO and HDAO ambient occlusion options. I'm nvidia, and I run it with HDAO, as HBAO looks like crap with cartoony type halos around characters when they're against a background and other anomalies.
Where's the logic in that?
HDAO is AMD's implementation and its the best looking implementation going. Ubisoft are in with Nvidia now though so i don't suspect there will be an option for it. When Farcry 3 was made it was a Gaming Evolved title so it had AMD and Nvidia HDAO/HBAO implementations.
Oooooh TXAA and 3d for free and no performance hit
Checkmate Nv

Not to nvidia bash, god forbid, but I also consider TXAA to be a complete waste of time. The Vaseline on the lens look is so 1970s, and is not something I personally like, and MSAA always looks better anyway.
I don't think you AMD fellas have anything to worry about here. I think it will look great maxed out on either camp.
Right! so when Ubisoft is in with AMD we get HDAO/HBAO options for both venders but when Ubisoft is in with Nvidia we only get HBAO, no surprise really.
Why 'no surprise' ?

Last time I checked Tesco got a bit upset if you tried to take a bottle of vodka "for free"![]()
I agree with this, tried it in a few games but found that it just gave a muddy look and the AA wasn't up to much, I would rather have no AA than use TXAA.Not to nvidia bash, god forbid, but I also consider TXAA to be a complete waste of time.
