I was offered a nice ZS180 at a price I couldn't refuse, so I'm now in the hot seat of a 2.5 V6-powered go kart while I do a bit of MOT prep on the ZT.

This is apparently what you can now pick up for £750:

I assumed it was standard, however it actually has a full stainless steel Janspeed exhaust fitted - not too noisy, but gives a lovely note when you blast it around to 7,000rpm.

Other bits it's got is full ATC (pretty rare), Alcantara half leather seats and 4 new tyres. Oh and 6 months tax. :D

Hate away, I'm just impressed how cheap it was... 1,000 problem free miles done already. Blimey it's quick. :o

Its a rover 45 with an uneconomical engine, i am not sure i'd even give £750 for it....

Bargain denied :p

Sorry, go kart?

This is the 10th Rover you have had to buy whilst the previous Rover goes sufficiently wrong to render it off the road. Doesn't this tell you something yet?

I need a vehicle 7 days for my business now, and the suspension arms are a sod on the ZT. Plus I can make a few pennies when I sell it on.

Those who have slated the 180 clearly haven't driven one, they're very well regarded as a driver's car.

I'm also surprised you didn't realise they were cheap. Surely you must know the market for fault riddled Rovers better than anyone :p

I always quite liked the 2.5 v6, they make a nice noise and they go quite well. Cambelts cost a fortune though.

I didn't think the Mk2 was this cheap yet - although I've been looking at Misubishi and other manufacturers for a 'fun' summer car, so haven't been keeping tabs on prices recently.

At the end of the day I couldn't give a **** what people think - just thought I'd share. You may all bleat on about how I like old Rovers, but I've made a business turning over tens of thousands a month from it - the exact reason I don't give a ****. :p

Do like the look of these facelifted ones. Nice motor imo, specially for £750
Cheers. It is indeed, and drives very well.

Belts are next weekend's job, but I rent out the tools and sell the kits, so it's not a big problem. :)

Looks smart! I like it :)
Cheers. :)

Hmm

Quite a good little thing to hurl around in, you're right about how much car you get for the money really

However

How many dodgy old rovers are you going to buy? Can't you just fix whatever one you've currently got sitting not working?
