Didn't realise these were this cheap!

Sorry

No, they're not. They are regarded as a Rover 45 with tat added to it after it crashed into the front of Demon Tweeks.

The ZT (not ZT-T), now that was regarded as a drivers car

He said nice things about the 180 and the V6 doesn't have any of the HG troubles of the four cylinder K's.

I'm sure we'll have a reply saying he knew all about it and it's just a business tool.

Plus, go karts are cheap to repair!

I'll stick up for you a little bit.

I think they look alright, the saloon looks better than the hatch so done good there, nice engine and the handling seems to be well regarded.

However a 750 quid cat C one wouldn't be my choice! The difference between a good and a bad car will be massive. The cam belt is a big bill when it's due and I can see it being a bit knackered now it's ten years old.

I know about the write off lol, it was because the body kit got damaged and it's impossible to find new. One second hand bit of trim later and it was sorted. :)
The previous owner had the wheels for his Mk1.
Also, the one on PH is a Mk1 in relatively low spec.

Having owned a ZT190 with sports pack, the ZS is the best car for hammering around back roads in. So much more agile.

But you didn't bother mentioning that in the OP? You were surprised by the cheapness of it but didn't highlight a pivotal reason why? (If it is the reason, I do not know the value of these?)

Seems an odd thing not to mention when discussing the value of a motor. A category against a car tends to have a knock on the price. Just my two pence.

Fair enough, I get your point - a fair few Mk2s with the kit have markers for the same reason.
I didn't really take it as an issue, a piece of plastic trim isn't structurally integral to the car, and I've checked the surrounding areas for damage with nil found.

It's plain to see the damage from the photo - there's an old Rover attached to the trim. :p

Don't quite understand the hate here..

If he had posted a 750quid mondeo everyone would be happy :-/

Like the shape of the mk2 ZS, I think it looks quite good in that blue (few shades darker then the trophy blue of the mk1).

This is what some people in Motors love to do JonnyGeee.

If it was a BMW M3 for £7k it would be a bargain and he would be getting patted on the back.

It is also a bit sad to see people HPI checking his car and then posting it; almost as if to shoot him down and get some kick out of it :(

Because the opening post and his subsequent posts are half truths and have important omissions.

Or he's just trolling the forum for a reaction.

The handling on these is excellent, truly excellent... when new.

Had one for 2 years but it drank oil like my ex-wife drank red wine... (Owned from new had 2 new engines)

They are a very expensive cambelt change and the inlets have issues with a failing VIS motors.

Parts are cheap but the regularity with which they need them is rather annoying.

Looks clean and cheap. I must admit I am a fan of cheap cars probably because I can't afford expensive ones, lol

The CAT C is a year old so only minor damage would have written it off.

Great thing about getting cheap cars is if something horrendous goes wrong and it is all too easy to get a repair bill of a couple of grand you can just throw it away and get another.
