Wargaming have advised that everyone change their passwords for WoT (and also the email account linked to it).

They were affected by Heartbleed but have now resolved the issue.

No it's not too late.

I would suggest buying a tier 5 premium tank and running with a standard account.

(tier 5 premium tanks earn decent credits and don't cost much if you grab one half price in the sale)

Not too late, I started in September last year and am making steady progress.

I still don't have any premium tanks and have levelled up from tier I which would also be a good route. (I've got 3 tier VII tanks all British but have also recently started on some Russian lines).
 
Not too late at all, I started again earlier this year.

Today is a good day though, today I found the lost account details for my first account I set up back in 2011. It turns out I have a few nifty free tanks to play with. :D

Too right. 7 wins out of 7 was it in the space of 1hr? Cant grumble at that given its a x5 weekend and the tomatos are in full force. I bet i won't have anywhere near that luck when it comes to trying to get them done this evening.

I swear a x5 weekend + gold rewarding missions is the equivilant of the apocolypse when it comes to WoT and public game competence.
 
I played on Thursday night hoping to beat the madness of the weekend specials. It didn't go well :( Despite platooning with 2 better players we had a stinker of a run. I pulled a couple of wins back playing solo afterwards (after Nuttah rage quitting!) but still only ended up with a 35% win rate from 37 games and a dire efficiency :(

I didn't rage quit. I made a conscious effort to stop playing after having thrown my headset half away across the room... No rage at all.... ;)
