It's totally made up and responsible for so much death and misery through all human history, why is it not yet illegal?

I'm not sure if this has changed, but when I was at school it was compulsory to do R.E. if that's still the case then they should make it optional, I don't believe anyone should be forced to learn about religion if they don't want to.

People should be allowed to believe what they want, and preach what they want as long as it doesn't infringe on other law (e.g. inciting racial hatred etc.)

But it also shouldn't receive any public funding or any tax breaks etc. If you want to preach stories then pay for it yourself.
