David Moyes disgracefully sacked

(Liverpool fan but try not to let that colour what you think of my comments)

Contrast Sherwood's honesty over Sandro and Moyes' constant support for his players when any fan watching can see the effort on the pitch is lacking.

Moyes had a terrible record against the top teams while at Everton and he seems to have taken the same mindset to OT and instilled it in the players. MUFC played without fear no matter the situation but has that been the case this season? Quite the opposite from what I've seen.

Are you United fans mad? You can't just click your fingers and plunder top managers from clubs anymore. You have the prospect of no European football next season and a massive rebuild job for whoever takes over.

Forget Klopp , it will only be someone who is looking for work. Nobody would leave a good job to take over at United.

WUT :p

I personally think Moyes needs another season, if he then is unable to get champions league football then the sack is appropriate.

He's only bought one player, the rest are getting older.

It's obvious that some players don't want to play under his style of football.

Also a stupid time to sack him, why not just wait till the end of the season?

Why waste time? Utd's season is effectively over no time like the present.

Plus it's a World Cup year, the extra time for the new manager to figure out his squad between now and the end of the season may prove very valuable.

I am completely neutral. Don't even follow a club from the same country as United, but that statement is wildly off the mark. Manchester United are 1 of the biggest clubs in world football and I would estimate probably 95%+ of coaches in world football would take the job if offered.

Really ???

More clap trap from the self proclaimed voice of football

Last manager was 'plundered' over 25 years from the European Elite League of the Scottish Top Flight. (/sarcasm)

Funny twelve months ago a certain team who finished seventh and nowhere near the top four for a few years let alone the kings of their own back yard for nearly a quarter of a century could rely on their standing and reputation to attract and retain top talent.

But United with arguably more financial power to pay wages and a not too shabby record of winning the odd league here and there (20 if memory serves me well but please correct me on that) can only attract Fred the binman from the Eccles Sunday league.

Utd can't rely on their reputation to attract the best but other clubs can. What a load of codswollop

That tweet from Ferdinand - firstly, I don't even understand the context???

Secondly Rio, the distance between players and fans might.... just might be down to players earning more in 1 week than the majority of fans earn in 4 or 5 years!!!

Clown of a man!

He has a habit of this, hopefully wont be rwgarding Utd after the summer lol

Why would someone in a good job with good opportunities go to a bad job?

Because it's Manchester United the most famous club in the world. I admit, depending on which manager comes in Utd may face a bit of a challenge attracting players for next season however literally every manager in the world would be tempted to take a job at Old Trafford.

There is no context, he just tweeted it randomly. :o :p

It's the biggest/joint biggest football club in the world, and while there isn't a limitless budget, there's a pretty damn big one. There aren't many better jobs around in football.

What makes it a bad job? That it's a challenge? A difficult job isn't a bad job. Getting paid millions a year, likely millions more than all but a very small handful of other clubs, is not a bad thing. There is nothing remotely bad about the Utd job. It's more difficult to turn Utd into champions than Bayern, but again that in no way translates to the job being bad.

Utd vs Dortmund, 2-3 times the wage budget, ability to afford vastly higher transfer spending, likely 2-3 times the wage for the manager...... failing to see the downside. okay, living in England and likely near Manchester.

Depends on their definition of "bad" I guess, but few managers at the very top would classify Utd as bad in employmemt terms as lomg as they can handle the pressure

There are actually lovely places to live in Cheshire especially all easy commutes to OT / carrimgton ( compared to other locals in England rather than Europe)

To be fair to Fergie, he had won a couple of league titles and 8 major honours in total domestically in a league historically dominated by 2 clubs. Mostly by 1 club ;)

He also had a a couple of European honours to his name (if you include the Super Cup).
