David Moyes disgracefully sacked

I think this was inevitable when you look back at some of the managerial decisions he made.

I'd love to see Klopp take the job but he won't, so Louis Van Gaal seems like a logical choice, but would Alex Ferguson let that happen? I wonder if Fabio Cappello would be good candidate, if you look at his cv bar the England job?

The writing was on the wall as soon as those exciting signings never happened.....and then the desperate attempt at Fellaini/Baines....and then just ending up with Fellaini. I think it was pretty obvious then where this was headed. Good job keeping Rooney motivated and landing Mata. That's about the best I can say about his time at the club.

If one thing has come from the debacle, it's basically the importance of appointing the right person based on a proven track record of success. Not because he's mates with Fergie.

Rumours veteran Ron Atkinson has been approached on a short term basis have plunged the Old Trafford futures of Young, Smalling, Valencia, Nani and Wellbeck into doubt

One of the biggest clubs in the world in a downward spiral. A real shame.
Not any more, we fixed that today. Onwards and upwards now. :)

What, you're no longer one of the biggest? ;)

I do wonder just how expensive that bottle of red he got Taggart was :D

even lego are mocking him :(

Unfortunately Man U could now become a team that sacks it's manager every season and finish below the Champions League qualifying spots.

They should have given him next season as well and sacked a few overpaid and overrated players like Rooney.

No.

We will get top 4 next season after we pry the biggest United fanboy manager out there from Chelsea.

JG on here was adamant a while ago Maureen never wanted the Utd job:D

Lol.
You said it was well documented that JM was desperate for the job & I asked you to at least show some proof which you couldn't of course because there isn't any just silly rumours.
JM said he never wanted the job but you didn't believe that you just wanted to go with the rumours. :p

I'll have a charity bet with you or any other Man.U. fan that JM doesn't become the next Man.U. manager.
£20 to the charity of choice if he does from me & £20 to the charity of my choice if he doesn't from you or any other takers? :)

Edit: Reduced to £20, not everyone has £50 to waste.

Does anyone here actually believe that even Fergie would have won the league with the current crop of players? (not saying that he wouldn't have done better than Moyes!)

Moyes hasn't become a bad manager overnight, he's just been overawed by the task imo - started out badly by massively overpaying for Fellaini in a bit of a panic buy and went downhill from there with injuries to key players!

Stability has always been Man Utd's strength and I heard somewhere that Moyes never played the same starting eleven in any of his 51 games - doesn't sound too stable to me!
