David Moyes disgracefully sacked

I would love Carlo and his wandering eyebrow, perfect fit for United.

This is basically the only person I really really really do not want you to get, unbelievably good manager, plays good football and I actually like him and he would likely succeed, was pleased when he didn't take over from ferguson.

The PL experience goes a long way as well, he knows the league, players everything.

All very nice that statement from Moyes and quite telling how he thanked all the staff and didn't mention the players one single time. For the continued success of Man Utd Moyes' best contribution may well have been to get the likes of Vidic, Evra, Nani and Anderson already packing their bags. Would have been nice if he could have got a nice exit plan for Ferdinand too.

@Robbo.

What do you think of Tim Cahills comments?

I think what he says is fair enough and I don't disagree with him.

Ideally, you'd give someone longer than 10 months in a job where rebuilding is needed. However, the manager also has to show in that period they have what it takes to do the rebuilding job and to show they have the right mentality for a club of this size. In my view, Moyes did very little right. The players weren't playing for him either, which isn't entirely his fault but it's easier to remove one manager than an entire squad of players.

I've always maintained I think Moyes is a good manager, he definitely is, but sadly he's not got the right sort of personality or frame of mind to take over a job like the one at Manchester United. He wandered around in awe of the club for the majority of his time there, and he just couldn't get his head around it all.

I wonder how much of this is actually true and how much of it is a comparison with how Ferguson did things. The unrealistic expectations and non-realisation of the situation.

It's not like Everton are actually a small club. He did alright there.

One things for sure. Whoever comes in next has to get rid of most of that squad. It's a many faced monster. A beast with no master.

Hard to disagree with any of those except for Zaha. He deserves a decent chance. Far better player than Valencia.

I'd also suggest that Nani needs to go. And I really think there is a strong argument for getting rid of RvP and bringing in a striker who would complement Rooney better.

Rubbish, go back 2 years to AVB being fired and remember all the people talking about Terry, being uncontrollable, players running the show, they'll never win anything, have to get rid of everyone and all the old players in particular........ wins CL, wins Europa, in title race.... all the same unruly out of control players managed to do great under 3 separate managers that weren't AVB.

The unruly, have to be gotten rid of Terry, Lampard, Cole, etc.... managed to be perfectly fine with zero reported issues under 3 managers since. Funny considering the opinions of those players and the supposed revolt led by them under AVB because the papers told you that was what happened.

The similar reaction and stance was taken over Chelsea's situation and proven to be utterly daft over reaction, based on nothing, and clearly Chelsea didn't have to get rid of any of the people who disliked AVB.

I'd say it could be that Zaha was the one leaking information about the United side. In that case he should stay where he is. It's pretty obvious something outside of football reasons is why he was farmed out.

Not that obvious. Loaning him out is no worse an idea than signing Fellaini was!
