IT people what's your notice period

As title really, mine is three months I've been led to believe that's not uncommon?

1 month but the rest of my team is 3 months. Work in a media agency where so many people have crazy notice periods. Quite a few 6 month+ notices.

1 month at the moment, when I hit 5 years it goes up to 5 weeks and then a week per year up to 12 weeks. I don't intend to be here long enough for it to go past a month though.

I would assume three months notice is due to the importance and remuneration involved in the job? Holding someone to a three month notice period if they are trying to get themselves out of helpdesk work is a dick move.

A month for me officially, although I'd make very loud noises two or three months before hand to give them a heads up.

3 months here as standard ... Although I haven't heard of anybody actually being held to more than a month at most (I do remember one guy leaving with only a weeks notice but that didn't go down well at the time).
