Teacher stabbed to death at Leeds high school

Justice would have been served.

I'm not sure what value there is in rehabilitating him? His rehabilitation will probably cost more than his potential net economic contribution to society, so there is no material value in it.

I'm not sure what we gain by keeping a murderer alive?
We gain the moral highground, then we can all hold our noses up smugly while we sit in an ivory tower.

Snuff the little chump out now.

-save money
-save effort that can be better directed at worthy cases

rehabilitation for this is an utter waste of time.

Must admit, I agree.

One less little chump and make the other little chumps think a bit.

Totally inexcusable behaviour.

Going through the motions of a trial when there are so many witnesses seems pointless. Civilization is not measured by it's pointless bureaucracy.

That said, I was being a bit bombastic. By all means give him a trial, then stick a bullet in his head.

Sorry not in this country. I also agree that it is unfortunate how well people seem to be treated in prison, that and they get beter education than I ever got in high school ( for the most part, I had a few fantastic teachers) Why should people go to jail just to game and relax 9for he most part) and get more than I earn as a hard working citizen. Even if it is at the cost of their freedom its still unaccepatble.

Anyway back to the topic at hand. It is sad and sickening to think that this kid would do such a thing. It is also an annoyance that people will undoubtebly slap the "gaming did this" sticker on this incident. The kid unfortunately will get his offence expunged at 16 or 18 if I am not mistaken/ it has changed, so even this punishment will go wholely underpunished in my eyes aswell. Lucky for the likes of him I am not a killer or I would go all dexter on his ***.

Just wait for the "kid played call of duty and gta" crap to start. Rip hope the sick brat gets a long time behind bars.

Having seen the t-shirt that the little **** is wearing in his photo on Facebook, I don't think it'll be long before the idiotic media bring video games into the equation.

That's not justice - that's revenge.

So the monetary cost means that we should kill people now? I question your ethics.

Your first sentence is just an empty platitude.

The difference between justice and revenge relates to whether one feels that they have personally been wronged. My judgements cannot be considered to be vengeful as I have no personal stake.

I am not not a materialist, so his cost/value is of no great consequence to me. However most leftists are materialists, so I was trying to

I would argue that assaults on Police are assaults on wider society due to the role they play. Regardless, many people believe they are sentenced harsher which isn't the case most of the time.

Anyway RIP for the teacher involved.

I think that's a crock of rubbish. Cops don't represent anything or anyone, they're individuals enforcing laws selectively. (In fairness we're human so this is an issue that is never going to be fixed).

Most people that give cops a good kicking probably don't want to boot society, simply the smug little **** in front of them.

I think that entire post is a crock of rubbish.

Was Keith Blakelock a smug **** when he was protecting firefighters? Fiona Bone and Nicola Hughes when they were ambushed and had grenades thrown at them?

No discussion here.

Capital punishment is abhorrent and should never return.

End of discussion imo.

what an awful crime that obviously has more to it, perhaps the lad was mentally unwell and no one had noticed, the later teenage years are when most mental illness develops. we just dont know stop speculating and stop calling for his death, you lot are disgusting sometimes

Not that I am disagreeing but would you include soldiers in that statement ?

The British citizens that are fighting in Syria etc ... outside of any recognised army ?

Once you take another's life, whether state sanctioned or not, you are a different person for the rest of your life. A little of you dies with them.

Maybe with lesser crimes such as kids who rob or burgle, but cold blooded murder is a different story.

No upbringing can be used as an excuse for murder. Once you murder, I believe you should be considered a danger to the public for life.

If thats him then he looks a bit troubled, but it doesn't look like a terrible family.

Great teacher by all accounts, been at the school for 40 years.
:(

One of my first thoughts & no doubt his defense team will try that angle at some point.

IF it's mentioned in court as any form of defense then his parents should be arrested and charged for supplying/allowing him to viewed age-restricted materials.
