Name that stingy thingy

Put a name, not give a name :) Inference being that it's a name it already has.

****ing hate this type of ****. Sat trying to work out what it is, trying not to jump out of my chair or be sick. Just looking at the pictures is enough, especially when I can't kill what I'm seeing.

It's outside my house, right in under the rafters. The house is too tall for a standard ladder to reach.

You can kill it. You are just afraid.

This is a normal and natural evolutionary response to big nasty stingy things.

But fire, sticks and hoovers are your weapons and 5 layers of clothing your armour!

Now, go forth and vanquish that stingy thing, or it will bring more stingy things. Then you really will be screwed! :p

I'd have a hunt about in your loft, Go up there when it's bright & Sunny as this will show any gaps. Could be burying in & making a nest, Looks like a Queen to me.

looks like a queen hornet, it should have settled by this time of year, it must have been disturbed, and as above I would check the loft for spaces during daylight hours,

if nothing, stand outside the house and just watch, if they are in there you should see them coming and going.
