Watch Dogs

I have this on pre-ordered, I seen the video for the Season pass, think its 19.99 dollars, so it wil be less than 20 quid, I'll pay that price no worries, seems worth it in my opinion.

The only down side is that the game is out on the 27 May and my wife is due with our first kid on the 5th of June...........mmmmmm its going to be tight lol :p

you obviously don't know how this works.

it's never converted at the current exchange rate, UK buyers usually always get screwed.

it will be £19.99 here, whereas only £10-£15 in USA

It's £15.99 at GAME. Yeah, we always get done over.

Either way 20 sheets is still worth it IMO, I will gladly pay that and thats just from what I saw, there are other companies out there that rip the preverbial a** out of DLC *cough, cough* CapCom *cough, cough* :p

arghhh what total ***** they are,
im canceling my dedsec ps4 edition, and will change that to vigilante edition + season pass. probably save myself £40 lol

This season pass thing is really starting to P me off, why should you pay an extra £15, its things that should be in the game anyway... i can remember when stuff like this was free, free new map updates on cod 2 etc

get used to it, it's thanks to smartphone games and their micro transactions pushing the whole pay to play.

I have paid like £80-£90 for BF4 (game plus premium), which when you think about it, that's nearly £100 for a FPS game plus a few map packs.

CSS on the pc cost me <£20 and all maps were free you just downloaded them the first time you played them.

Console gamers seem to be paying huge premiums and not being rewarded for it.

The game industry has changed as a whole.

It simply doesn't happen now. Shareholders won't sit back and let publishers send out content that cost them money to make for free anymore. The only real alternative to this is the free to play model - used by games like planetside and team fortress 2 where the game is free, but the publisher gets a steady stream of money from the in game store.

Yep, you're right, and it's a shame really.

What's the best version to order to get the game and in game bonuses, plus any DLC when when its out? or best selection of?

I get confused with all the different versions they seem to push out these days!

Sorry that came over strong, was a general point - I havent bought a season pass myself yet and DLC by its nature isnt essential to a game, so theres little forcing me to buy it at release other than, as you said, impatience. I rarely buy DLC outside of sales - they can wait for my pennies :p

Anyway back to watchdogs having so many different version no one knows which one to buy...

ps3ud0

Haha, it came across fine, worry not

I honestly don't know which to get, given my track of thought today I'll probably get the basic and go from there.

Standard edition plus season pass. Any other edition you will miss out on the T- Bone character and game mode.

i don't know why anyone wouldn't buy the standard plus season pass tbh.

who cares about a stupid cap which will never be worn after 2 days (even if it's for your 10 year old) as well as a completely pointless motorcycle neck sleeve thing which is only useful if you own a motorbike or work in an environment where you have lots of particles in the air, etc.

usually DLC adds to multiplayer aspect of things and gives you a slight advantage, etc.

e.g. in bf4 you get more battle packs, guns, etc as well as the extra maps/content.

hmmm not all publishers are like that for instance look at the witcher series of games
all dlc free and there not even a high end company compared to the rest of them but they make some of the best games ever... and there dlc is always free was for witcher 1 and 2...
