AMD Catalyst 14.4 WHQL Driver out now

Yup, back to the 13.12's I go, none of the 14.XX's have been any good for me.
 
No problems so far, only run Skyrim & Firestrike though.
No real speed increases, but I noticed that Skyrim was smoother, as I occasionally had stuttering in certain places. Now it's butter smooth. :D

Will do some more tests tonight.

Yes you do... for me in BF4 I get basically a 100% increase in speed over DX11 and you have duel 7990's like me... I was running around Caspian 2014 at 100fps+ constantly dipping to lowest I seen last night at 65fps for short periods on a 32 man server at 5760x1080 maxxed out (apart from 4/8MSAA due to memory constraints). Mantle is amazing and is what DX should be and soon will be probably with DX12.
 
I need more monitor space (this was a mining system that i've sort of converted into a gaming one) so i'm only at 1080p for the time being, 120Hz mind.

Single 7990 at Ultra on Directx is fine but with two cards I notice a loss of fps and quite a few dips which I expected.

Well reinstalled windows and still have the driver issue.

Screen will flicker and then the system freezes, monitor stays black.

They mention the 295 having the same problem but nothing about the 7990. But since they are both dual GPU cards I wonder if it's the same thing.

everything bar the display driver installs ok

Was playing last night and noticed that as well.
 
Bah!! Hasn't fixed my R9 290 BF4 Edition issues. Will run games absolutely fine. Watch youtube BSOD or the driver just completely crashes. Any ideas what old versions i should try?

Yes, same here, this is the first time since before 12.11 that i have had to use an older driver than what was available.

Hopefully they will get it fixed soon.

Talking of first times.. with the 14.4 RC i had my first 'spawned into a game with no weapon in hand' problem. Must have lasted about 20 seconds at least as i was running around like a blue arsed fly looking for cover :eek:

I hope that never happens again lol
