As far as I'm aware only Admiral and DirectLine offer this? Does anyone know of any others?

When does fleet insurance become worthwhile? It's 4 cars with 6 drivers. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Cheers

I don't know the answer to this, but i can wholeheartedly recommend Admiral Multicar. I find my policy amazingly flexible (they will mirror NCB, allow seemingly ultd chopping and changing of vehicles all of the time etc) and tbh it is at a price which seems like a joke for the cover i get.

The problem with fleet policies are that in theory you should be a registered business and
fully comp cover is quite a bit more expensive than the more common third party level.

You'll also lose your private no claims.

Aviva, LV and churchill all do multi car i'm sure. Admiral have always been the best price by miles for us though

I am with Esure and they don't have an official multicar. However on calling them they were able to heavily discount multiple policies in the same house.

My partner and I went from 1 car to 2 after many years of sharing. She found herself with no NCB but Esure did us a deal. They gave here an introductory bonus of about 30% and then promised to match her NCB to my full NCB if she remained claim free.

I was a bit dubious but on renewal in March the letter came through stating she had full NCB. I am very impressed with Esure with that.

Might be worth a call.

Do they charge admin fees each time you change, rmeove, add a car to the policy?

Admiral have been fantastic. Been with them for 5 years and now into my second year of my multicar policy. I pay 490 for two cars aged 27. Makes owning a performance car an easy reality for me as I can put all my miles on a daily without the crazy costs involved of running a performance car 24/7.

I'm with Directline and I really can't complain. I'm about £400 per year, fully comp for my new 530d and my 2003 Passat TDI. It wasn't that long ago I'd have jumped at £400 for either car, never mind both. And that is to cover over 20k between them.

On another note, I found John Lewis very good when I got my 3rd car. We didn't have any NCD to apply to the car as it was the first time running 3 cars. When the renewal came up, they gave me 5 years. Nice one.

I have 5 cars with four drivers, Admiral multicar was the cheapest for me

So you just phone up and tell them or do you just quote with your NCB on both cars?

I got a quote with the "correct" NCB, i.e. 1 year on the Jag and 0 on the MR2 from admiral's site, then phoned them to say I was considering it but it was a bit more expensive than I had hoped. The customer service agent then mirrored the NCB for me so I had 1 year on both cars which brought the quote down - apparently they can do it for anyone as long as you haven't made a claim.

They wouldn't mirror mine but would split the ncd between the two policys. I also had to have 90 days cover to align my policies together so they gave me another years no claims as a good will gesture.

I also think it depends who is on the other end of the phone as well. For example he wouldn't mirror my ncd but put a personal discount of 50 pounds on each policy. I think they make it up as they go along!

They wouldn't mirror mine but gave me a year's NCD on the van; when renewal comes round I'll see what's what but tbh with 2 years' no claims I don't expect an extra couple of years to make a great deal of difference.
