Hey guys.

Can anyone recommend a wireless gaming headset. Had it with my Logitech 930's. Lame software ...

Was looking at the corsair 2100?

I have the g930's though i wouldn't recommend them, the wireless on them is alright, allows me to walk about the house. The sound quality is alright, the headphones themselves are pretty comfortable and the macro buttons on the sides are useful however, due to the speakers only being stereo and not true surround sound on some games such as world of tanks the sound only works on one side unless your using the surround sound feature. And the surround sound sound is OK but if your trying to listen to music and play a game in surround sound your music sounds horrible in surround sound. also if you are on skype with surround sound on it sounds like your friends are all in a bathroom or something.

if you are looking for good wireless headsets the astro A50s would be my recommendation, seen a lot of streamers with them and they all love them, plus all the astro headsets are good quality

I have the Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3d Wrath wireless gaming headset and think they are amazing. The sound is crisp, clear with loads of features for creating a custom sound profile.

Thanks guys appreciate comments. Have have the g930s but had so much greif with the software and them cutting in and out.

Yeah i regret buying them now for the exact same reason, however i have got them to stop the on sided thing after about a week of attempts. the only other issue i have with them is when the battery gets really low and you put the charger in and the headphones then turn off. you have to sit and fiddle with them for a couple of minutes to get them to charge and stay on.

since i reinstalled windows on a new SSD i just cant get them to load, tried ALL the work around but nothing seems to get windows to see them correctly... they work fine but i can't get the Logitech software to see them and all the extra stuff

Logitech forums are full off it, shame

have you tried a different usb port (i assume you have :D:D) when i plugged mine in first time, what ever usb port they were in, i think it was usb 3. Once the headset was turned out it would just keep connecting and disconnecting over and over due to the usb port, changed port and it worked fine. If they would just fix the software the headset would be perfect, but alas they haven't and probably wont

Yeah so how it works for me is when the PC boots with or without the headset on / off / USB connected or WiFi Logitech will not see it. No matter what port or driver version.

If I then close the software and right click and run as admin it will turn the headset on and off and then connect and work.

However I have uac off and have tried a scheduled task but that won't do it.

Head wrecking and annoying.

yeah very frustrating when you've spent 100 odd quid for what seemed like a decent pair of headphones to them get these issues

This is one reason why I will be reverting back to a wired headset once my current pair have passed!!

Got the same. The sound is 'blimmin good, got to say. Brilliant for BF3 (great mic) and wireless means you can hear how many awards you got when getting a beer between rounds. :D
Only problem I had with mine is one of the hinges broke on one of the cups. They are quite heavy and taking them on and off lots of times weakens it. Not covered under warranty, tried that. Fixed it by drilling two 3mm holes through it and literally bolting it back together. Rock solid now!

Having read some reviews and seen the price I'm seriously tempted to go wireless now.
Am I right in thinking that these wireless headphones won't use my creative soundcard? My current headphones and speakers connect into the same card.
The headphones appear to be USB based.

the stealseries H is the one to get, but at £250+ it is not really a sensible option for most.

So for me i am looking at the

Corsair 2100 (£90)
Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3d Wrath (£90)

and will read some reviews on the a few others

I have the Recon 3D Omegas (tactic headset) and I find the high end on them to be pretty bad. They're comfortable and the sound is OK, but the top end really does let them down. The G930s are much better sound quality but I too had enough of the awful software. Not a recommendation as such, just my thoughts. I'd love to try a pair of Astros.
