Conservative. Not that I need bother given that it is an extremely safe seat.
You don't have safe seats as such in a proportional representation system.

I see no promise of a referendum in what you have posted. Just a deceleration that Edward heath did something he new to be wrong (sounds like a typical politician to me).

And di you know we are no better off joining the EU then we was before? Yes FACT.
Ahh yes, the age old attempt of making your opinion sound like fact.
That's one a very specific economic benefit that may or may not be accurate. Deuse stated that we are no better off since joining the EU. That must be an opinion due to the fact that depending on your subjective decisions on what parts are more important and what are not, you may get wildly different conclusions. You can not have an objective outcome on such a high level in a such a complex domain.
I actually do not, necessarily, disagree. However there is some evidence for his opinion which your single line does not take into consideration.
The points you make, btw, could just as easily be made for the other side of the argument.
Careful who you Like on FB UKippers, Some left wing unwashed filths are prowling to cause trouble. http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....-candidate-s-list-of-facebook-likes-1-6603091
Mr Withill insists the page comes merely from his interest in military history. He had also ‘liked’ historical figures such as George Washington and Gandhi.
Did you miss
"Edward Heath declared that it would be wrong if any Government contemplating membership of the European Community were to take this step without `the full hearted consent of Parliament and people'."
And at the time he told us on TV we would get a vote on it. Yes I was there shocker.
And di you know we are no better off joining the EU then we was before? Yes FACT.
Get UKIP in and spice it up a bit.
Whilst it may not be a completely baseless opinion, it is still very much an opinion and yes, I am aware that this goes both ways. Like I said, your value of the UK's membership depends on what benefits or otherwise you personally value. Some people value the free movement of people and labour, some don't. You can argue that there is an economic benefit or disadvantage to the UK through that policy, which would be objective although very hard to gather enough information to make any conclusion reliable.
Can I just say that I whole heartedly agree with you. There are always multiple aspects to every discussion. but undoubtedly the economic argument is, not only the basis for which this country voted FOR the common Market, a huge point.
I do, however, disagree with dismissing comments out of hand as opinion when they are not simply opinion. If we read the articles we can see how well Switzerland has done by creating its own trade agreements.
Freedom of speech deleted. OCUK forum first in on losing our human rights.
As for Switzerland, we need to be careful that we're not comparing apples with oranges. Switzerland doesn't export the service based products in the way we do and that does benefit quite fundamentally from the ease of travel and lack of work regulation.
Probably better shot tbh![]()
