Wildstar New MMO (NCSoft and Carbine Studios)

I am struggling to pick a main now lol...warrior or engi lol. Now i havnt played much on the warrior yet but i was wondering how they are tanking compaired to engi lol. I would love to know peoples roles they are wanting to play. what is the guild going to be called, cant wait for release haha
 
Thanks for fix Afran, it really has boosted fps and stability.

I might roll a character on a PvP server later on but from the off it's RP-PvE for my main. I want to be able to jump in and explore the world, whilst getting rich and not having to look over my shoulder all the time :p

Still going Esper at release as it has everything, CC Knockdowns Immunity Nukes Summons Heals Ranged and AoE's - *pat's razer Naga*
 
Having no FPS issues as I'm playing on a brand new PC, but I can completely identify with the other main caveat / issue being the UI.

The maps have been overdone, are too detailed and make it difficult to pick out friends or quest objectives amongst everything else. On the other hand the text for everything from chat to quest trackers to tooltips seems underdone - I play unmodified WoW in the same resolution with the general UI scale the same, yet everything is so easily visible and/or accessed.

If Carbine don't fix it before launch I'm hoping there'll be addons out pretty soon that do. Everything else about this game is so slick and polished, but arguably the most important visual element of an MMO is the UI.
 
Guys, have all the servers that were up before open beta gone now?

I logged in just now and my characters are all gone and the server I was playing on, Pergo, is no longer in the list?
 
Played this for an hour or so on a low end gaming laptop gfx 460m

FPS is low at recommended settings

i kinda like it. will try out as much as i can over the open beta.

I think im outgrowing MMOs now though finally :p

My characters don't seem to have been. I was on Pergo server and now I have no character and in the server list none of the servers say I have any characters :confused:

Edit: Nevermind, found them on a french server =/ Bit lame really to move them to a french server. Might just leave this now till release, at least then I won't have to repeat as much content.

Enjoying it so far, the humour and art style is quite fun. My only gripe is the general feeling of too much "stuff" being thrown in your face, it's like going into Alton Towers on LCD at times. I think it's just a general trend of western MMOs to have a set list of content that they should have and it's just getting too much. I'm not saying they should be as extreme as grindy Korean MMOs, but I used to find them way more sociable when you had to form a party and just go out and kill stuff together.
 
Really pleasantly surprised with this. A bit of colour is nice after the relative drabness of ESO but it is kind of hard to follow everything happening around you. I might preorder - what's the consensus on the collectors edition? Worth it?
 
Depends how long you are going to sink into it, u can upgrade to the duluxe edition for 15 quid. For me the rocket house, Hoverboard mount and small extras is worth the 15 but I know I'll be playing the game for a while after launch
