Last ditch effort.

Heres a shot of one i took months ago.

Normally my graph lines are like the right of the yellow cpu spike, (pretty level) but all of a sudden the yellow line will rise quite steeply. Very random as it can happen when you turn quickly, scope in/ads, shoot or someone in close vicinity shoots at you.

Like others have said, BF4 is so riddled with problems. My perfectly stable system is seeing spikes on that game. Everything else runs sweet.

Page File, i have seen this problem occur in BF4 if you don't have enough Page File.

Use MSI AB to keep an eye on RAM and Page File, if it looks like you need to change it; see screen shots.

Last time I played BF4 (just over a week ago) it was mostly fine except for the occasional big spikes in frame times - it's simply not a very stable game and should not be used as a benchmark until it is properly fixed.

For page file ive just left it on system managed. Will check to see what usage is like in game later as ive added it to the ab osd.

Yeah im using auto pagefile. Back in the day when Setter was a young pup deflowering Irish Virgins left right and centre, having a too small manual/custom page file could cause BF3/4 to crash with an out of memory error at times.

Lol, that was indeed many years ago.:D

Ram wise, normally im seeing 5gb ono on the ab osd in game.

MSI afterburner has things disable as there both Asus cards and only work 100% with the asus GPU tweak?

Has BF4 really gone that bad? It was running okay last time I played a couple months back.

I thought the new drivers for nVidia were not very good for me with BF4. I wasn't fussed, so didn't bother changing them but decided I would roll back to the last drivers that I knew were fantastic for BF4 and blow me, it was doing the same thing. I put the new drivers back on, fired up BF3 and no issues at all.

No idea what Dice are doing but the CPU spikes are pretty bad and everyone I was in TS with was getting them.

Yeah, its even ruined Mantle for me so you know they've really screwed up as Mantle was cpu spikeless. You didn't even get one after hours of playing. Now i get one every 10 seconds.

Your card is not exceeding the vram limit so don't worry. Did you try that User.Cfg file i suggested? Also have you been reading all our posts, this is a game issue and is nothing to do with your cards.

I did yes, Nothing changed with it.

Yea, Sounds like its just the games fault. I never knew theif was mantle too. Does it run smoothly?

Yes it does, though crossfire has not been implemented by the game devs yet. However from my understanding one card is easily enough to max the game out image quality wise. Take a look at the Thief benchmark thread.
