Yeh the padscreen on the WiiU is probably the weakest of Nintendos revolutions, you could argue that it is showing in their struggles this gen which kind of reinforces my point.
Disagree big time. Its actually got some amazing tech in it...

Thanks idiots. First all the evolutionary features that Xbox One had planned got canned because weirdos were scared of change and now one of its best features has been killed.

Why are you blaming anyone other than Microsoft? They were the ones who lacked the courage to stick to their vision. They had complete control and gave in to pier pressure.
Terrible DRM, always online and a mandatory peripheral so you can control the dashboard by wafting your hands... Wow, such vision, very evolutionary, amaze!

they really should have stuck making the kinect mandatory ( as in console needs it to function at all ), or just got rid of it all together. this option now means the kinect is going to be pretty much useless as no game devs will need tot hink about adding support for it in games now which is a shame
The Kinect has been around since late 2010, devs likely have had access to it for longer.. Nothing good has been made for it for no other reason than controllers are far better for games than motion controls.
No, it was a promotional price for the launch of Titanfall, it was never intended as a permanent price drop hence why it went back up again.
To think I got stick on 3 counts, for saying there would be an early price cut, for saying Titan fall wouldn't be the system seller people assumed and that kinect would have to go.
This weeks lottery numbers are 5, 15,28,33,34,45
The system numbers must be tragic, it's the console that I would be interested in buying purely because I'm a gears fan and I loved the 360. Yet any time I feel I might get one I just get the feeling it's going to get cheaper and to wait for something that I actually want to play to come out.
Weirdly I liked Kinect when I tried it and thought the interface was so built around it that I couldn't navigate and find stuff without it. I think I would still prefer one with kinect right now, but I think they will now re-hash the interface to be more controller friendly and more like the 360. I bet the guide button comes back.
Weirdly listening to last weeks bombcast they predicted a kinectless Xbox at E3. I think this will definitely be the last console MS produces. They have started off trying to offer something few people want and despite spending a fortune will end up with what people actually wanted, a more powerful 360.
They would have faired better waiting 6 months to launch after the PS4, so many people would have waited to see what MS produced on the wave of how good the 360 was. Instead they have a console with the stench of failure around it, few decent games and even with a price cut people will still be waiting for top titles.
What a complete cluster **** all round, at this rate Gears will be multiplatform

Those who like waving their arms around and talking to electronics can still do that though.
The trouble is we all know it was £350 with kinect and a game and they had trouble shifting systems, no one in their right mind will now pay that for a kinectless version. I'd want £50 off to buy one without kinect.

Both consoles are woeful this generation. The Xbox One has been crippled into a 2nd rate console by people refusing to accept change and the PS4 has literally no good exclusive games.
Games are always slow at the start of a new gen, give it time padawan there will be plenty of great exclusives this gen. Both consoles will be worth in the end.
It's not even been 6 months, calling them woeful this early on is absurdly premature.

id agree with you there, although to be fair ive really enjoyed my XO for the few months ive had it. cant wait till the true so called next gen titles appear
