Hello!

My contract is up for renewal soon, i currently have a SGS3, £38 a month (probably more with the price hike) and get unlimited texts, couple hundred minutes and only 1gb of data.

After some pretty hefty bills (£77 this month!) i thought they would offer me some better deals but all i got offered was;

Free Note 3,
20GB data
Unlimited texts/calls
£38 a month.

The things is i can sell my SGS3 for £100 and they offer the above deal on their website with a £159 upfront cost which is effectively only £59 more, I explained this and offered to pay some money to get it cheaper and got no other offers so retrieved my PAC code.

Thinking of joining Three as its a bit cheaper and unlimited data i thought but the girl and guy (i rang up twice) both said its not unlimited and they cap you due to Ofcom and things?!

Pointless thread maybe....

My plan to move from Orange to Three was for their Unlimited (yeah fair usage and all that) in November when my contract is up. I would be interested to see what happens in this thread.

wow some good deals on that website!

Whats T mobile like? is their unlimited any good? I will be suing 10gb+ a month. no 4G where i live for the next year or so but i do get H+ which i beleive is 3.5g ?

Just be aware T Mobile unlimited packages are speed limited to around 3mb down in my experience.

I assume that thats an EE 4G plan as its the 20GB unlimited text and minutes one? If so thats on their site as £40 for the phone and £47.99 for the plan as its on the double data rate 4G and includes eu roaming. If its is then seems like a reasonable deal.

If you move the sliders to 10bg data and then £35 a month cost it shows the deal i mentioned.

I like the look of the Three deal on that website at £35 (33 after cash back) a month with free note 3. Just checking to see what model it is and things..

Been with Orange / EE for about a decade now and I've hit my upgrade date. They rung me up yesterday to offer me an 'exclusive discount' tailored just for for me for my customer loyalty.

The deal was:

Note 3
4G Plan
Unltd Minutes
Unltd Txt
2gb Data

£49.99 for the phone & £39.99 p/m, 24 month.

Not only was that deal beyond crap, given that I don't use more than 50 txts in a month, I've never used more 500mb as I'm always on Wi-Fi and I don't live in a 4G covered area the tailoring wasn't very good was it....:D:p

The lady was pleasant though and we had a bit of a chuckle about it.

I'll be leaving EE soon anyway as the building penetration at my workplace is crap and my phone is useless unless I stand next to a window.

If you are after truly unlimited data with good speeds, I'd probably go for 3. I'm currently on T-Mobile with unlimited data and I've never had any issues, the speed can be a bit meh at times. They've never contacted me but I probably use 4-5GB a month max!

I picked up the Galaxy S4 last week for the missus on EE on the following deal which I thought was very good:

FREE S4 (£35 quidco cashback)
500 mins
500 mb
Unlimited Text
£18.99 a month (EE)

They couldn't offer me anything close to that via upgrades so I cancelled and took out a new contract on the same network via third party website.

That's my approach ^^
Bought my Note 3 SIM-free (was just over £400 IIRC back in Jan) and use a 3 One Plan SIM (only) in it at £15/month. This works out at about £760 over 2yrs, not that I will keep the Note 3 past another 6 months or so (Note 4, perhaps :p)....for pretty much unlimited everything, including 4G :)

Well well welll......

Received a call today from EE and offered

Free note3 and 20gb data...£32.99 a month.

But

Today i received my Three contract phone in the post which i ordered last night which is the same deal but with unlimited data.

If only i could test Three's network out at home to see if there was a difference, if i knew it would be a good signal in Scarborough it would be a no brainer, we have no 4G but i have H+ signal all the time which is great at the moment...

Agghhh
