Because people do. The same people say theyre half italian or whatever despite never actually being borntheir.

Doesnt make sense to me, you are either British or not, Indian or not, I just do not see the need why they even mentioned her nationality. Does the paper / website refer to all the people it writes about as "British born" john has left ..... etc

I think the people asking for proof that UKIP are racist want to see a photo of Nigel Farage wearing a "we are the racist UKIP party" sandwich board. Obviously nobody can provide that, all we have to go on are the numerous gaffes that their party members have made and the large body of evidence that points to Farage not being a particularly nice guy.

If it looks like a duck etc.

You don't see how someone could be ethnically Indian and born in the UK?

Dude. Seriously. If you have an british mum and indian dad, chances are you're part indian.
Therefore even if you've NEVER BEEN TO INDIA you are part indian by blood. Its not hard.

To be fair though were all part something

I do not see the need to why they started the article off with "British Born Indian", it is irrelevant other than to scandalise.

Because it's completely relevant to the article

The alternative is that she wasn't picked for the role she held in the party because of her Indian heritage.

Does the wind stop blowing at night then?
Do the seas stop having tidal movements at night.
Do the reservoirs that you pumped water to the top of during the day not flow.
Do you think I couldn't use the battery pack of say ooh I don't know... an ELECTRIC car while it's dark.
Don't be so single minded.

But you didn't provide the efficiency figures for those things.

If we could power every home in Britain with renewable we'd be doing it now. I don't think even the maddest of green advocates would claim renewables can meet the demand of grid as it is now.

But that's not a reason to throw in the towel, cut off their funding and keep burning imported fuel. Yes, renewables cost a lot of money, consider it an investment.

The longer people poo poo the idea that it can't and not vote in favour of it at the outset, the longer it will take to get there but IT WILL get there.

The place is going down the ****ter, we can all see it. It's probably too late but I'd rather die trying to put our **** up right for future generations than sit on my ass and watch the world burn.

Of course it will GET there Fuzz, but not yet, we still need to use fossil fuels as it stands today.
If there was a money tree we could go full renewable very quickly, but there isn't one.
You may think we are all doomed and feel an urgency to save future generations, but that is a self inflicted problem that you have, not everybody shares your opinion about impending doom.
But unfortunately many politicians do.
Panicking about saving the world will lead us to make bad decisions that will do more harm than good.
Just worry about now, if we lose power it will be a very painful experience for us to live through, so we must avoid it.

over 100 abstsining is more way shocking than Eddy having 90. geez vote for who is nearist to your core values/stuff blabla. grow some testicles and get off the fence.
