Thanks. It works on most Tory/UKIP voters due to their double digit IQ's. ;)

I don't generally vote Conservative and I certainly wouldn't vote UKIP. I do tend to prefer policy when deciding to vote rather than watch "hilarious" videos which tell me nothing at all about policy. That is the sort of thing I would expect people with double digit IQs to appreciate.

Glad to hear it. I made my point back in post 849 in this thread but I guess you missed it. To be honest, I'm done talking serious politics for today. Time for a few cold ones and some crap TV. Have a nice evening. :)

I have to agree with Judgeneo. Our (UK) governments and the "small" policies they fabricate are little ripples on the ocean of the global market that nowdays decides all our fates and will do till the end of this Era.

Its a total waste of time thinking its in our voting hands. Its all under control by a select group of Global Corporations balance sheets.

Jesus im a liberal hippy.

just live your life to your means, meet a nice girl or boy . Pass on your meager life savings to your offspring and repeat the cycle. Then die a wage slave.

Labour probably would have de-regulated if there wasn't a crash too, they were hardly shouting out against it.

Yup. They're hardly blameless. The Tories would have done it faster.

What you see on that graph is the chaos of 2008 causing a large drop, and the ongoing sovereign debt problem of our largest trading partner restraining growth. Its just co-incidence that Greeces problems started to spiral out of control in April 2010, the election had nothing to do with it. Hell, the coalitions policies didn't even start come into effect until about 9 months after that date.

It's terribly "cute" how you switch in two posts from blaming everything on the political leaders of the time to blaming the global conditions. Our recovery would have been closer to following the US than the Eurozone under competent leadership; it's a bit rich to blame the Eurozone for the failure to recover when so many directly-effected Eurozone countries have outperformed us.

Link to O'Brien mauling Farage on LBC Friday morning. O'Brien is not Paxman material, and they had very limited time, so he rushed this interview way too much, but oh boy, if he just let Nigel speak, poor man would burry himself up to the neck. For every question Nigel had nothing but slogans and pub rhetoric, doesn't know people he selected as candidates, doesn't have any control over party lines, picked wrong coalition in EU, gets completely deconstructed over his own family in light of his own populist slogans then the moment things get dangerous (question about EU audit on UKIP expenses), his campaign manager intervenes on air and pulls him out of the fray.

Terrible interviewer, but still gets to show, ask Nige any real, factual question and he has nothing but bumper sticker one liners.

Pub rhetoric and bumper sticker slogans? Why that's half the moron vote won over then.

You conveniently overlook the make up of those European countries economies that have outperformed us. Theirs are usually far different from ours which is heavily involved in the financial sector (hardly surprising it hit us hard). Germany has a huge manufacturing and export sector. If you look at France who has a comparable sized economy and who didn't originally go with austerity but via raising taxes and spending as you would expect a socialist government to do, they are still having serious problems.

I was digging through my brother's old server to see if I could find anything from around 2002 when I was couch-surfing, but I only have entries in to my blog (yeah, I had one of those!) from 2003 onwards.

This nugget from 10 years ago when I broke up with my first gf is pure emo gold!

I can't help but think that is actually a poem about masturbation. The tingling sensation on your chest being... Well y'know.

It did show him for what he is, little England's hollow man, only interested in milking the EU Gravy Train and playing on people’s fears about immigration.

Just as much of a douche as the rest.

oh dear i need to pay more attention...... Sorry to repost.

And UKIP still on top. Loving all the name calling :) some people are getting very worried

I fail to see why anyone would be worried, it's an mep election which over half won't actually bother to vote in and even if ukip had every single EU seat it wouldn't matter as they never turn up to vote in the EU parliament anyway

And most of the name calling coming from Conservative supporters, speaks volumes about the Tory toffs, it's almost tantrum like and I bet they think Cameron's dad is bigger than Nigel's dad, Cons are really starting to look silly in this thread. :D

Another ukip clanger, the open letter is pure gold

http://notsowunderbar.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/open-letter.html?m=1

By the way the guy is a local council ukip candidate, did they even vet anyone before letting them stand or (more likely) they prefer bigots

So where is this thread of your party? they have 54 votes here.

Oh that's right you're to busy searching for UKIP stuff. But carry on because the more you do it the more votes UKIP get ;)

The lefties and now some con know they haven't really got a valid argument to stand on, what with their failed experiments, and people are finally starting to wake up and take notice. So all they have left it seems is to try to dig up dirt and try to tarnish the name of UKIP in a last ditch attempt. Although, the polls would suggest that yes, this is just getting UKIP more votes.
