Just voted Labour but man really annoyed with their cocky campaign in the north. I wish there was a nationalist socialist party... Oh wait :/

Is it time to lock the thread, shut the forums and salt the earth yet?

Apart from that obviously being a fascist thing to do somehow. It's just alternating between a Twitter feed of people saying who they voted for and people trying to debate with foghorns.

Whilst both nationalist ring-wing parties, UKIP and BNP can't really be compared.

The BNP as national socialists and want to look after whitey.

UKIP are national libertarians and want to look after rich whitey.

And labour want to look after the world and you're going to pay for it.

Voted for the Greens as since Labour come across right of center now, Tory lite, I can not bring myself to vote for them.

Now I just have to convince the Green Party that nuclear power is the way forward :D

I do wonder how many more people would vote green if they weren't anti nuclear?

I'm not even sure if their manifesto is that strongly against nuclear. They mostly want u to be as efficient as possible, minimise out use of finite fossil fuels and maximise the amount of green energy. Considering many green energy sources are cheaper than most fossil fuels and nuclear sources this is just common sense.

Diverse renewables with a good back end by nuclear makes sense.

All that in addition to the fact Polish family would have no reason to lie about their name or address because they are fully entitled to treatment like any other resident and they still pay the regular three tier sums before seeing dental technician in question.

I think you've forgot about the ones that come here and work cash in hand, so no tax paid.

Anyway the results are in soon...oh sorry the EU has ordered the UK not to release them till Sunday. The Dutch told the EU to do one :)

Can't wait to leave the EU and get rid of the Human rights bill.

Which is exactly why I won't vote Tory.

My issue with Labour is they are more authoritarian than the Tories, and I have stronger reservations about social liberalism than I do about economic models. I actually do think governments should be smaller and efficient while still strongly supporting people less fortunate. Left-right economics over the middle ground is a bit fuzzy in my eyes. Sometimes large scale investment can boost the economy and employment, sometimes it can make things worse. Taxing companies higher amounts doesn't always lead to more income, many of the low tax countries highlights that it is better t get a few % of billions than either 0% (companies decide to HQ themselves in Switzerland/luxembourg/eastern Europe) or a high % of less money (the companies that would remain in the UK with a very high corporate tax. Generating the maximum wealth from corporations is very complex, there is a very strong case for having low corporate tax and letting VAT plus employee IT generate the wealth.
Without becoming a professor if economics it is hard for me to really make a firm decision on which economics model is most effective.

My biggest issues with the main parties is they are very focused on the short term. This is a big problem with democracy. Parties are mainly looking to get elected in the next election. The green party is the only party that has a forward looking manifesto that could benefit all of us in 50 years time, and furthemore benefit the other 7 billion people living on this planet.

Lol exactly why labour cannot be trusted with an economy.
At what point during their last tenure did Labour prove themselves to be untrustworthy with the economy (anymore than the rest).

I assume you have compared historic debt as a percentage of GDP over the last 40 years to see any trends yes?.... oh wait...

Indeed, while I really do wish the Green party would ditch the over the top hippy side (being so anti-anything other than wind-farms/solar) as it puts people off making them unable to enact any changes.

I'm not suggesting they betray their long term objectives - just accept that social changes happen over a long time & having some highly divisive (to the population) pledges which are not the most important isn't the best strategy.

I mean, I don't believe in capitalism, I don't accept the idea of a democracy, I don't ascribe to the nation state (it's another fiction) , believe in the concept of private ownership of land or borders & find all forms of patriotism deplorable - I wouldn't create a political party with these in as it's simply too far removed from the general populations views to be worthwhile.

Whoever you vote for Government wins
Indeed, whoever wins - we lose.

Wow I didn't think you were idiotic enough to wish away your own human rights

In any case the human rights act, 1998 is uk statute and offers the same as the euchr so I'm not sure why the hate, it was passed by parliament
