Calling members names is against the rules. But I do feel sorry for you but I hope you get a holiday :)

Here in Rotherham UKIP took almost 50% of the votes during the recent poll. I'm skeptical about UKIP and feel that the only reason people are prepared to put this party in power is because of their angle on immigration and/or possibly a desire to break the relationship with europe. Until today have had little contact with any eastern european people and only ever came in close contact when filling the car with petrol and they would be using the ATM at the same station.
So today is the first time I have had a proper interaction with an eastern european while waiting for a friend who was searching for his flat keys and was back tracking the area and possible shops where he might have lost them.... This fellow walks up to the car window and asks for the time and I tell him 'five to two' ... appearing to be quite friendly he asks if I'm 'from around here' and I reply in the negative, he then says 'I'm going to give you a caution' 'what is your name' I said 'why would you want to know that' he replied 'don't **** with me... you don't want to **** with me' he starts to take his phone out while looking at me menacingly, at this point I'm thinging that I need to get out of here but this guy is just getting going, he says 'would you look at me' while he is holding the phone up but I put my hand to my face and say 'why don't you **** off' he says '**** you', he then goes to the front of the car and takes some pictures and then walks to the back and takes some more, then he walks back to the window and says 'what are you doing here - tell me your name' and I click the doors shut and close the window (it was about a 1/3rd open) as I'm feeling a bit uneasy and then he punched the window of the car as hard as possible, it didnt break but he stands there for a second as I take my seat belt off then walks off down the footpath between two sets of flats - I beckon him to come back as I get out of the car but he mouths 'two minutes' jesturing with two fingers. Now I wait and sure enough he returns with a friend and I decide to drive up the road a little as I don't fancy getting my car windows smash and/or my face. They both stand on the street for a while and then walk away seemingly happy at their efforts.

Anyway, I have digressed from the topic somewhat but my point is that that single isolated incident could have motivated me to vote in the UKIP camp and I can empathize with other voters if they have had a similar experience or feel intimidated living close to such aggressive people. I've never had anything like this happen to me before and feel angry that an immigrant would treat someone minding their own business in a public street in such a manner.

If you're in or near the town centre then you'll se a huger number of foreigners, and unfortunately just as many native knuckle draggers.

I take it you were in Eastwood when this happened?

That's the National Estimated Share of the vote based on local election results so far. UKIP apparently surged to a five point drop in their estimated national share. Some earthquake.

Lawl people thought there was going to be an earthquake? The damm thing turned out just as i expected UKIP and everyone making a load of noise to give Labour a kicking. And all the core brainless voters still voting for thier parents parties. I had a feeling a lot of Labour voters changed thier minds last minute or lied in our poll because i thought it was off they got so few here as 10% was never going to be a realistic poll.

It would take something big, A lot bigger than just anti-immigration to oust Labour/Con because you have every immigrant in the country voting Labour as seen by the London results. And all the useless barely literate 65 year olds are voting con.

Rofflay, for whom did you vote?

Yeah the results were fairly predictable, although I'm surprised to see that Labour have done so well...

Do it the democratic way, peaceful protests, complain to MP, vote for your preferred party, Oh sorry, you didn't bother to vote did you?

In my head you went from loony, but tolerable, forum hated underdog, socialist worker guy to long term anti establishment axe grinder, unemployed workfare attender in one post. :)

Couldn't vote. Not in the country, postal vote arrived, now sat on a door mat, i suspect.
I've actually left our country, its not as scary as you see on the tele. Lots of foreigners though
