Wolfenstein: The new order breaks 2gb

I manually shifted everything to max moogs and can't compare with Tahiti...

The scary part is you can increase the texture size even more via launch options, saying that the 290X nails it, it's rock solid.

Pretty damn good game so far too and much improved visuals over Rage, proper quality cut scene vids are a god send instead of the usual low res rubbish.

Had this using just shy of 5GB of VRAM @1600P on my Titan with every setting set as high as possible.

If I had a pound for every time someone breathlessly exclaimed " it almost hit the VRAM limit on my card!!1... "

Less than 5 is almost 6? Hmm... I have a great financial proposition you may be interested in. :p

I was just putting out a snippit of info people may be interested in. It seems that this game like many others hitting the market right now is quite flexible in how it uses video memory. 3GB and above seems to suffice by the looks of things, with anything higher not really making that much of a difference.

Because it serves the ravings of those who have higher VRAM equipped cards, generally AMD users :p

On the flipside of that it also servers the ravings of Nvidia users that are unfortunately 'small in the saddle', as well as 'short on vram' and their bus is 'not wide enough' to please a woman. :p

Disclaimer - titans excluded.

This runs at a near perfect 60fps 1080p on Xbox one and too my eyes looks identical to the pc. It seems the Pc gamer once again gets a half arsed port.

How are you measuring that?

Please don't say "my eyes".

Well it's perfectly smooth on Xbox one and a juddery mess on PC.

You really do not need tools to work it out. It's easy to tell if it's 30fps over 60fps.

These people have tools. This bit on pc with either a 680 or 280x is a mess for me on pc.

It's all over the internet that Xboxone and ps4 run the game 1080p 60fps. This comes from the developers. In the case of Xboxone it has to downscale now and then but you won't notice it.

Why is this forum so obsessed with VRAM?

Its one big circlejerk, grab a few beers, hit refresh repeatedly and enjoy an endless argument with no point :D

Will go something like this....usually.

Person A: "I'm right you're wrong"

Person B: "No, I'm right and you're wrong

A: "how, you're not reading my posts correctly"

B: "I am so, look, you're wrong <insert graph here>"

A: "****"

B: "**** ***"

-=rilot suspends everyone=-

Person C: "LOL OMGZ LOOK AT THE DEL POSTS!!!!!"

Thread dies.

So no noticeable difference in game but the pc needs a £400+ graphics card to do it.

I'm not slating pc gaming just the shody poor efforts that us pc gamers get left with.

Have you played the game on Pc or just watched Youtube grabs ?

If that's not noticeable in game to you, then you don't need to be spending money on gpu's.

You don't need a £400 gpu either, get a red one-which can be offset on PC game costs- 10 to 15 Next Gen titles will almost pay for it-recuperate the outlay.

I've played it with 670/290X gpu's but using the 290X obviously and I'm at this part:

In Poland in the cellar with the splatter suit chainsaw nazi interrogation bit;)
