anyone used Aldemore bank?

Looking to put some money into a savings accounts and someone suggested using Aldermore. Has anyone used them before? I had never heard of them but they look legit. I assume they my money (upto £85k) would be backed by the government in case they were bust or anything? Although I wouldn't be investing anywhere near that amount.

The rates area about the same (slightly better to be fair) but they have no introductory rate so it will stay the same for the duartion wheras the likes of Santander is only a 12 month rate.

They are based in the UK and Ive just checked the FSCS list and they are on there so the first £85k is covered.

It appears to be covered by the scheme. New bank started in 2009 it seems.

I have, they were good for my ISA rate at the time and moving money around was hassle free.

I have money in banks, I just don't believe the government would be able to pay me it all back if there were a real crisis, nor should they particularly have to.

Diversification is the key. If I kept my entire net worth in 1 bank under 1 currency I would be rather worried and probably wouldn't sleep very well at night

They are totally legit. They used to be called Ruffler Bank. Big employer round here and going through a large expansion it seems.

People still think a lot of things which just aren't true, I think they prefer ignorance over truth because the truth sucks.

Not everyone can deal with what a horrendous place the world has become.
