**The big ol' Z97 thread!**

Nah got side tracked, need to get a couple of cables ordered and hopefully new PSU to arrive Tuesday and get the lot fitted.

Have a pair of ssds, motherboard and PSU to fit :p

Aye especially when to get the panels and motherboard tray out is a good 30+ screws!

Can't wait to get it in and tested, everyone's bigging it up and with no m7e I know I won't have regrets about passing up on one

Lol, 30 screws. That's a lot of screwing.:D

How i miss the simplicity of my lian Li A70F, no need for a screwdriver, thumbscrews and tool less clips/clamps etc. The xpower is certainly a lot of board for the money.

Tool less is overrated, esp. when you are going to fit and forget for a while and some of the things like Optical/HDD's are not held very well with these clips like my cases, even worst on older models.

Thumbs screws for case sided etc is fine though.

The LL uses different length thumbscrews for the mobo, very handy in hard to get at areas of the board. Don't bother with an optical drive much now, have one sitting in a drawer if i ever have the need for it. For hdd's you simply attach thumbscrews with grooved rubber washers to the drive, then the washer slides onto the hdd tray, great for damping vibration.

Decided to mock fit my board, rads and GPU.
Really need to get a decent(ish) CPU for this computer so i have a reason to build everything, the constant whine on my current 290 is doing my head in.

White ram, to match my soon to be painted mobo ;)
GPUs will obviously be blocked up, and will hopefully get either a white or black acrylic to cover up the bottom.

Mpower max vs non max?

Looking at these two boards and wondering what the major differences are besides the water block design?

anyone got the asus z97 deluxe and 4770k combo? If so can you get an overclock of any kind as i CANT bleeding WHEA errors constantly :(

More Vcore mate I reckon.

Plus Win8/8.1 (im assuming thats what you are rolling with) is very sensitive to unstable overclocks, I would use win7 myself as that's a bit more resilient but cant stand it after using 8.1 for so long now.
