Dave Small was suspended after allegedly calling African migrants "scroungers" and Clare Balding and Sir Elton John "perverts".

He told BBC Hereford and Worcester he made the remarks a few years ago but stressed his views remained the same and he had no regrets.

UKIP MEP James Carver said his opinions did not reflect those of the party.

Mr Small admitted he is homophobic but claims he is not racist as he has "a lot of black friends".

"Eastern Europeans are everywhere - you can't move for them," he said.

And we do get a lot of poor people come here, well they would be mad to come here is they're rich.
Poor people come here for the sun\sea and sand. And our great British weather ect ;)

Spoiler effect comes into play with UKIP, being they're slightly more right wing that the conservatives and would be tory voters will more likely vote for them, Labour should do well in the next GE (providing Scotland votes to stay in)

you're seriously suggesting someone who wrote that sort of thing 2 years ago is fit to be a councillor?

The date on the article is the 28th of May by the way, he was sacked this week or do we forget stuff like that after a couple of years now?
 
Apparently because ukip now want to be taken seriously anything older than the start of this year or so is inadmissible.

To me it's just sticks and stones.
If a person came around here and started shouting "whitey...Cracker..Anglo..Betty Crocker..Boss...Snicker Licker...Whitetrash ect.

We would say "someone's been let out for the weekend" and that's it. Sticks and stones that's all it is.
 
My only concern is that the UKIP vote erodes the Tory vote enough for Labour to sneak in through the back door.

I will genuinely consider emigrating rather than face another Labour government in my lifetime.

you get why minority and previously (and many would say currently) repressed races get to be more touchy about this though?

With you on that. I'm already planning a distant future that if this whole country becomes an enforce Labour mandated "multi-cultural" hell hole (if the whole country went to pot like areas where there is extreme racial tension where unemployed unskilled immigrates and asylum seekers are just dumped on mass on an unsuspecting populous, there are dozens of examples of this all over the news in the last few years) and there's no decent parts of England left to move to anymore, than i might pack it all in and move to a nice part of China or Japan where they simply don't put up with that kind of crap.

Is there even a touch of irony in this statement? What if China or Japan don't want you - in the same way that you apparently don't want (some) immigrants? It's rare that people see themselves as the problem, they tend to think it's others who are causing the issues so while you may think of yourself as a ray of sunshine who China or Japan should be delighted to receive* that's not necessarily how it will be viewed by them.


* for all I know those countries would welcome you with open arms but equally they may not and for very similar reasons as to why you might say you're against immigration.
