hi

Ive been waiting for the Catalyst 14.6 driver,

does anyone know when Catalyst 14.6 releases in full?

As i didnt want to wait any more i was thinking to download Catalyst 14.6 Beta...

But before I do does anyone know if theres any major diffrences between the beta and full Catalyst 14.6 ?

a quick heads up will be helpful, as I dont know if I should install the beta or wait for the full version, main reason is becuase of watch dogs and soul suspects and all the other enhancements.

it will be out in june, 14.6 is year.month, they pushed the beta early for watch dogs release.
i wont buy watch dogs, i dont like thief, and murdered soul suspect wont be good according to few months back previews, so unless i had old monitors lying around to try out the new mixed resolution eyefinity, i wont bother getting the beta and just wait for the windows certified one.

Since it isn't released, we can't know what the differences are :)

Just try the current 14.6 and roll back if you have any issues. I've found it to be a perfectly fine driver fwiw. YMMV etc :)

14.6 won't become a WHQL driver. WHQL drivers are released roughly every three months. 14.8 should be the next WHQL driver in around two months.

Just use 14.6 Beta. WHQL just means microsoft has given it a fancy certificate of approval.

Beta is a full driver, just called a beta as it may have a bug or 2. They've been fine for me.

I'm looking forward to trying the mixed resolution eyefinity when my next monitor arrives.

Perfect timing for this driver!

14.6 betas fixed graphic glitches I was getting with the 14.4s in 8.1.....I'm running 7870 LE - running firefox or any webrowser after while the tables would lose graphics on them and wouldn't have a clue what was there.

14.6 fixes that - seems faster in games.....I'm sure there I'll find something in them to break though :D
