Sorry AMD :(

I have a pair of 780TIs that make a bit of noise so its not just AMD cards that do it. Hope you get a good pair though.

Although, I wouldn't really call the noise my Ti's make a whine or squeal. Its pretty low frequency and hardly audible over my case fans during benching which is when its most noticeable.

my 7950 absolutely howls. I'm hoping a new psu will cure it, or at least quieten it down a little. I think my psu is on it's way out as i'm having massive boot issues but that's another discussion lol.

2 Titan Blacks? Nice, I'm sure you'll enjoy them :)

I don't know the circumstances, but 30 cards with excessive coil whine suggests an issue. I'm not going to argue about it though, there's nothing to debate here - don't want to start another 20 page nonsense thread, so I'll leave it at that and wish the OP the best with his new cards.

But you already started it? Did you not read you last post.

Who cares....

Op! Great cards you've just bought. Enjoy!

Sure are great cards, but what I care about is what this has to do with Amd. Unless op can confirm there reference cards.

If there GPUs from other manufacturers are they not to blame for the coil whine?
Coil whine is something horrible to figure out and I would hate to be in the position to have my card with it.
But with both amd and nvidia getting it doesn't it tell you something else is at play here psu or something.

30 cards tell a different story am sorry.

OP said they have tried 3 different PSUs so I doubt that's the issue, not much else gets noticeably loud coil whine problems apart from GPUs and PSUs but I suppose it's not something that can be ruled out. However, having tested so many cards I hope the OP also tested various other components within their system, would only be logical.

Mobo is the only thing which I havent changed as I have tested it with a known coilwhineless card and... no whine :)

And when I mean 0 whine, I mean ZERO, not low levels that you cant hear over a fan or you cant hear in a closed case.

There is no logic here, ordered what 4 batches of 6 cards, found one good one, were aiming at seemingly £600-800's worth of graphics cards, spent £3600 at any one time on the graphics card, had no problem RMA'ing(having worked in an RMA department for an online computer store I find that hard to believe. Then switched to £1500+ of cards instead, and decided not to try a £80-200 mobo change first, because the logic of something that isn't a 780 or 290 not producing whine has no bearing on if 290/780's produce whine on that mobo.

If true, it's ridiculous and I'd have tried a different mobo after the 3rd or 4th card at worst, particularly if trying 3x psu's(costing a lot more than a mobo). Ignoring 1 of the three problems while spending silly amounts is just mental.

Mobo, gpu, psu... why ignore one. The psu didn't produce whine with previous card yet did with these, so by the same logic why would you count out the mobo, I certainly wouldn't and it's the cheapest part to replace/test.

After 6 cards I'd be driving my computer to the closest store and asking them to test your specific setup and seeing what is wrong before putting another £1800 on another set of cards without being sure an RMA on 6 opened and used cards would be accepted.

Someone else smells something fishy, so do I.

Yeah motherboard would also be something else worth checking. My last two GPUs was 7950s powered by corsair hx850w installed on a asrock z68 extreme 4 gen3 board no coil whine.
Now have two msi 290s running on 1000 superflower psu installed on a Asus p8z77 ws board. Again zero whine, so either am just pure lucky?

I must admit, finding 30 cards with coil whine in succession is difficult to believe regardless of vendor. But as long as the Op's happy with his new cards, that's all that will matter in his eyes.
