Going into places drunk?

Drinking the 'leftovers next morning' is what bugs me OP. Hair of the dog I think it's called. Getting shortlisted to interviews is difficult enough as it is, so you shouldn't be throwing those chances away. After the interview, no probs. Even better though is when you've been offered the job.

Has anybody done this, must say over the last couple of years I have, just gone into a job interview totally sozzled and had to try and keep a sensible face, last couple of times I went to parents was totally drunk also, I am sure they knew but never let on. getting more and more prevalent though, easy to have a few at night that have the leftovers next day, your experiences?

Yeah blud, I go into me intervews mashed all da time innit. PROPA RESPECK!

Yeah...

Slight confession, +20 years ago so distant past. We used to go town/club every friday night, time it ran 3 in the morning and it was a taxi home, got in the habbit of saving the money/time and just walking to work and sleeping in the medical room.

Felt like crap when my mates on the night shift woke me up at ten to six to start work, but it was better than home/5.30 and a lift in.

Spose i was still drunk, but sleeping it off a little, the town/food, talk crap with the lads, then the 20 min walk wore it off a little.

All the fun of being a reckless teen:o

Yeah bro! I used to go to important exams wasted, turn up at family events and social gatherings embarrassingly drunk, and I used to drive drunk regularly. That said, I'm a recovered alcoholic (2nd Nov '06 baby) and things got worse and worse, and then a lot worse until I had no choice but to acknowledge that I had a problem and sought help. Maybe you should too. Go to a meeting, listen to some stories and see where you fit in. I know a lot clicked into place for me when I did.

Yes I did frequently. I had a drinking problem 16-23 (now 35). I turned up to a few interviews drunk and many other places I should have been sober. Got kicked out my parents house, was homeless for a while, ruined countless friendships, relationships and lost/walked out of quite a few jobs.

Was a real mess. Turned my life around over the last 12 years of sobriety.

Time to sort yourself out "sonny jim" ;)

OP, I've got news for you son, you've got 99 problems and liver failure is all of them.

e: ^ all benzos are prescribed so you'll need a pretty good reason to just have some diazepam lying around.
