It will be just like Battle LA

I believe the US have an Air Force station Suffolk/Norfolk way. Most probably there.

Yep - Lakenheath & Mildenhall. More often than not I see Apache Gunships on manoeuvres above North Essex & East Suffolk. I keep thinking they are after me. :(

I love reading some of the comments on the news articles about this.

That flying bucket is so unstable that it cannot fly without total computer control. It performs over 1000 commands every second only to keep this bucket in the air. Single short in any of its circuits will bring it down faster than meteor can do. Single shot of EMP spells total death of this flying rust bucket. As mentioned before it is simply a propaganda for naive and blind illiterate people. This flying bucket cannot be controlled manually as it has tendency to have flying abilities as piece of rock. This is probably good ballistic projectile but nothing more.

whoa, the brits still have real clouds in their skies, not crossweaved chemtrails like we have in the US.

B.F. and Mileva Marinkovic,
Than k you for the information about B-2 Spirit of Missouri being shot down in Serbia. You are correct B-2 is German creation copied by US criminal organization. Its flaw was exposed using old Soviet weapon.

Mildenhall is Supply, Lakenheath is Fighter.

Alconbury was Reconnaissance (U2's) and A10 Warthogs and a sneaky bird or two !!

Alconbury is still skeleton crew manned

Indeed, meaning Mildenhall will much more likely host a large bomber. However, the news reports indicate Fairford is home for these B2's at the moment.

thats probably british apaches given one of their two bases is in suffolk at wattisham.

F-35: Completely ignoring the fact it's based on British and Russian tech (its basically the offspring of the Harrier, the Yak-141 and the aesthetics of the F-22), Then this plane has no global equal (in it's intended role anyway, as a jet fighter it would be on par with the F/A-18), the closest comparison would be helicopter gunships.
I've never understood this argument and I think it shows just how poor a multirole stealth aircraft might/will be. It is decidedly lacking in CAS ability due to the sacrifices made for the stealth design (low internal fuel, low number of external hardpoints etc) to the point where for the number of potential kills per sortie and its ability to hang around, it is outmatched by previous generations, as it is in a fighter role as well.

which leaves it at the first strike role (akin to the F117) which by all accounts the F22 will be tasked with, whose production was stopped as they ran out of money due to the f35's huge overruns. It has some cool tech but I honestly think it will be a bit of a flop and a waste of money.

the B2's tend to use fairford whenever they do pop over so I imagine they will stay there.

He was probably getting "currency" in approaches. All military pilots have to perform certain tasks a few times per year to maintain their authority to fly (or "currency" as it's called). Those tasks can be everything from "Rollers" i.e land and take off again without stopping) to flying "Approaches" i.e pretending to land on a runway then just flying by at 100-200ft, to show that you can follow the approach pattern correctly, usually done at airfields that aren't your home one.
