Oakley tint for driving...

I've been hunting for days now for a pair of wrap around sunglasses for driving when the roof is down.

Anyway, after going into every Opticians within a 10 mile radius, the only pair that fit me well and comfortably are some Oakley Straitjackets.... ignoring the fact I nearly puked when finding out the cost with prescription lenses was the best part of 300 quid... im now stuck with this dilema...

What tints to go for? I was originally going to pick the Deep Blue Polarised, but reading online, people say to avoid the blue tint when driving??

Anyway, I guess theres some people in here more into sunglasses than I am, so what is the best option to go for?

I also play poker, so having something I can wear inside when playing would be good, so everything from super bright down to low level lighting.

Suggestions please

I used to have a pair with ice iridium, which is probably very similar to the ones you're looking at? Used them while driving and never noticed any problems? Currently have a pair with fire iridium which have been fine for the last 7-8 years, used for driving on an almost daily basis. Did these people say why they aren't suitable?

They said that it "might" cause issues with traffic lights, didn't say it would but suggested that I look at alternatives.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a very bright sunny day also (im booked in for an eye test to confirm my prescription before commiting to buying such an expensive pair of glasses) and if it is im going to ask them to borrow their sample lenses and have a wander outside with them and take a look how the world looks.

Edit - I tried a few polarised pairs and found the Ray Bans to be far superior to the others, Oakley included. The Oakleys were very dark and not as vibrant, didnt seem any different to my non polarised Oakleys which are now officially banished to the scummy drawer of no return.

I hated my Ray Ban Polarised (similar to the ones above) for driving. Far too many light reflections bouncing around on the inside.

Oakleys do it best and are the most comfortable so far I find. Would like Dillon Optics but they don't do any in a similar style to my Oakley Flak Jacket so...

Non of the Ray Bans I tried on worked for me :( (Either not comfortable, or the ones that were comfortable didn't work with my face shape).

Actually the only other comfortable pair I found was a budget pair of wrap arounds, but unfortunately they didnt do prescription lenses!

Flak Jackets were not bad, but for simple put them on and feel like im wearing nothing, I found the straight jackets better.
 
Personally I didn't like the frame going all the way round on the Straight Jacket model! The lenses are easier to swap on the Flak too and to my eyes looked sleeker :)

That and sometimes I need to rub an eye while driving, no frame at the bottom means a little finger can do just that without moving the position and possibly distracting the view of the road!

Toally get it, I prefer the Flaks appearance, but, being that im already reeling at the price of them as it stands, i want to have something which is 100% comfortable!
 
User preference and all that!

Have you tried a factory outlet too? They have much lower prices.
