For those with super wide monitors...

Go Documents > Profsaveprofile > open in wordpad and scoll down to screensafewidth and changed that to 0.65 and voila, your minimap is back towards the middle of your screen

I used to do this all the time on Amazon store, competitors would have 92% feedback and sell stuff for say $60. I could come along and put mine at $80 with my 100% feedback, I got the sale almost every time, even when they had 10k feedbacks and I only had 1k feedbacks!

Do many have the minimap in the middle of the screen? What value to do you use for 1920x1080?

I don't think it brings it to the centre though... just over from a very wide location for these sexy 21:9 super-wide monitors. Play about with the setting and use the Test Range to find your ideal location

21:9 does look sexy as hell but now I have tried lightboost@120 and 144hz there is no going back to 60Hz. I tried it earlier, the blur was horrible

Fully agree. Can't wait for the Asus monitor now. It's going to have the best of both worlds. It also has ULMB. Have you read about that JSR? It's basically the lightboost sequel. The new Asus supports it, albeit without gsync which is not an issue if you can maintain constant 120.

I did the tweak that joe mentioned and it works fine, although I prefer having it at the side of the screen.

I was tempted to try a 120/144hz monitor for a few days but know that it will be one of those things that you will never want to go back to 60hz after using one

Since I am a a big movie buff as well, 21.9 just suits me better.

21.9 aspect ratio, 120HZ and IPS panel and at least 29" for <£400 PLEASE!!!

On a separate note, tried playing a game in this heat and temps were sky rocketing!!! (not just GPU but my CPU too, probably because of the 290 though

) Have now removed the noise foam padding at the top of the case and stuck 2x120mm fans there for the time being. Noticed whilst installing them that I can actually fit 2x140mm fans so will be having a look at some fan reviews over the next few days.

Get a decent airflow case with some Corsair AF120 fans - you will be laughing.

Today has been the hottest day I have recorded to be honest. From top to bottom - GPU 1, GPU 2 and CPU.

Does your 21:9 do 75Hz properly btw? my Dell does which is a nice little bonus for gaming.

You really should go 120Hz though if your anything like me it will immeasurable boost how well your skill actually translates to things ingame compared to 60Hz - there is no way I could run and gun half sucessfully with a sniper rifle on 60Hz.
